The nearest airport to both Naples and Marco Island is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), located in Fort Myers, about 45-60 minutes by car from either location.

However, if you're flying internationally, it's more likely that you'll fly to Miami International Airport (MIA), which is about a 2 hour drive.

Naples Beach (and the pier) stretches along the Gulf of Mexico with beautiful, soft white sand. It’s perfect for a relaxing day by the water, fishing off the pier, or enjoying a sunset stroll.

Vanderbilt Beach is located to the north of downtown, and is a popular spot with plenty of space, ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and watching the Gulf’s sparkling waters.

Lowdermilk Park Beach is a family-friendly beach with picnic areas, this beach offers calm waters, making it a great spot for swimming and relaxing under the sun.

The Everglades National Park entrance is about 40-50 minutes from Naples Beach by car (around 35-40 miles). This drive takes you through scenic routes and offers a chance to see the surrounding landscapes.

From Marco Island, you’re even closer! The Everglades National Park entrance is about 30-40 minutes away (around 20-25 miles), making it a very convenient location for a quick adventure into the wetlands.

We would say that renting a car is highly recommended when staying in the Marco Island/Naples area.

Both Naples and Marco Island are spread out, and having a car gives you the freedom to explore nearby beaches, restaurants, and attractions at your own pace. Whether you're driving to Vanderbilt Beach in Naples or Tigertail Beach on Marco Island, a car will make it much easier to get around.
