Housed in a converted early 1900's church, this is definitely a cool and quirky option when it comes to Washington hotels. The Adam Morgans neighbourhood is known for being a 24-hour 'hood' if you like - but as it's developed over the years the restaurants, bars and shops have become seriously cool, so it's perfect for weekend breaks for couples and friends alike. Your rooms is made to feel like a home from home. with bespoke furniture and unique artwork that keeps each room different, and will give you that warm-fuzzy feeling (don't worry - there is aircon for those summer trips!). No Goodbyes is the all day hangout thats on hand to cure those cravings, from coffee to cocktails, and brunch to late night bites. There's even a record player and a huge vinyl collection on hand for you to pick your own soundtrack.

We stayed at the Line hotel for our son’s wedding weekend. Check-in was easy & staff attentive to our needs. Our room was well appointed , comfortable bed/pillows & updated bathroom. A huge shoutout to hotel valet persons Tamerat, Kecha & Tecle who managed moving & parking our car….made for easy travel. I highly recommend the Line!
Finally a cool, humane place in DC!

Finally a cool, humane place in DC. Not the stereotypical DC hotel with heavy velvet drapes where workers keep bowing not to get fired. It’s just cool and people are authentically nice. Real, lively neighborhood (far from offices and touristy areas). Perfect gym, delicious food (try ragout bolognese) and great bakery (fresh, warm scones) . Second… Read more

Stay elsewhere.

The good: Excellent bar, terrific bar staff. 5 stars there. The fair: Inconsistent restaurant. 3-1/2 stars. The bad: Decrepit bathrooms, bedrooms badly in need of paint and some sense of style. Mattress was worn and saggy, bedding was stained and not clean, floors were sticky, rug was just gross. Zero sense caring management or employee… Read more

Mattress was worn and saggy, bedding was stained and not clean, floors were sticky, rug was just gross. Zero sense caring management or employee training. Two items of our belongings were removed from our room, perhaps traded for the bag of trash left in the middle of the bedroom floor. The WORST: Awakened every morning before 7 am by the shaking, jarring pile-driver and construction vehicles across the street from our room. The sound echoed right at us. Construction will continue for at least another year, so if you want a decent night of sleep, stay elsewhere. But come for the bar. Read less
Business trip mishap

I overall enjoyed my stay, I will say I have to give is a 3/5 due to hiccups on their end. I was staying here for work and had meetings where I had to be out of the building by 6am or earlier. I had communicated with staff and valet about having my car parked out front in the morning and letting them know they could leave it outside overnight. On my 3rd night there I came downstairs ant 5:30 to leave and the staff member took my valet card from me (not sure why) and I went outside and my car was not there. I not only was now going to be late to meet my clients but had to go myself and look in the parking garages for my vehicle, staff did not know where my car had been parked. Needless to say I just told them not to park my car inside the rest of my stay. Not to mention there was no apology or even an acknowledgment to this situation. I would’ve preferred to just park my car myself. Read less
