The hotel

Is there anywhere better for shopping than Manhattan? You’d be hard pushed to find so. And if shopping is your reason to visit New York, then this is a great base to do so. Branding themselves as a ‘micro’ boutique, the Arlo SoHo offers far more than this. The rooms are designed to be compact, but trendy, just like the neighbourhood it sits in. The communal library turns from a chilled place to check your emails, and read a book by day, to a buzz of conversation, board games, and chilled drinks as the evening comes in. And if it’s a nice day, why not move out to the courtyard with your refreshments, although you also don’t want to miss the views from the rooftop bar as the sun is lowering and the NYC lights come alive. The rooms are effortlessly cool, with a homely feel, and will have you rejuvenated for another day of hitting the shops or walking by the Hudson.

Lindens (modern American restaurant, open for dinner Tues-Sat). A.R.T. SoHo (rooftop bar serving grilled snacks, small plates, and an excellent selection of drinks). Lobby Bar (with outdoor courtyard). Bodega (24-hour pantry).

Al was super helpful and took great care of us. Highly recommend staying at this hotel. Lobby and amenities are ton notch as well as the restaurants. This place has everything you need and I could stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend 5/5

Al was super nice and accommodating by letting us check in early while waiving the early check-in fee. We just came from a red eye flight and arrived at the hotel at 7am while our checkin was at 3pm. Al was helpful in showing us the amenities with a speedy service and got out rooms in a couple minutes.

The room is super cute with a nice view. Checked in with Al and he was super friendly, kind, and helpful. Came straight from the airport and really jet-lagged from a red-eye flight with little to no sleep and really appreciate his help while checking in. Provided us with all the information we needed. 5/5 :)

I stay here multiple times a year for work trips at almost all the different arlos in the city but soho is always my favorite. They treat me like family whether I’ve ever met them or not. Theo, Luna and Nyla particularly deserve so much praise and appreciation. They make me feel so welcome even when I’m so far away from home. Love everyone here!

Amazing service, Gary and Rohan made us feel just like home. They were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was quick and smooth—especially appreciated at 4am for an early check-in! We will be back again. Thanks to the front desk team :)
