The hotel was amazing! So beautiful and in a great location for walking to the sites. The staff, Aerial and Haque, were so friendly and helpful during check in and our stay there. Definitely 5 stars. I would recommend staying at The Manhattan!

The first room we were put in had no A/C working (it was in the mid-80s outside). We were quickly moved to another room (shout out to Raquel), and verified that the a/c was working. But it doesn’t remove humidity- just slightly cools the air. The room itself is ok but the walls were banged up, the bathroom had areas that could no longer be cleaned (corners were discolored, tub had rust, etc) I can only hope that after the renovation it will be much improved. And only 3 of the 4 elevators worked. And very slowly. Read less

Then don’t know why they let us book a full breakfast because restaurant is not open, second clue. Asked to be moved and compensated for breakfast, but no one seems to be in charge and trying to get manager is a joke. Came back second night from being out on the city and room was not serviced. Tried calling for at least fresh towels and none were delivered. Still no help with management the next day! Supposedly promised to be moved to Premium room, but that didn’t happen. Came back to room today and you can guess, room not serviced. Had to get our own towels and trash bags from maid cart to tidy up our room. Not much compensation from hotel and lack of hospitality from management! BEWARE of this hotel. Read less

This stay was truly a great experience. I could not have asked for much better service than the service provided to us by Chris. He was so kind and sweet and made us feel very welcome when we were fairly new to New York. We greatly appreciate everything and would definitely recommend based off the service alone.
