It may sit in one of the world’s priciest zip codes, but the radically revamped Kimpton Hotel Eventi has taken over an entire block of Manhattan – proudly showing off that fact with a wall of street-level windows giving passers-by glimpses of its dining and drinking venues. Of course, as a guest, you get to experience the glitzy world beyond those windows (and beyond the view-grabbing floor-to-ceiling windows in every guestroom). Part chic hotel, part art gallery (both in keeping with its artsy Chelsea address), its new lobby feels more like a designer’s living room thanks to the fashion-forward furniture, coffee table books, and warmly lit artworks. And, within four blocks of the Empire State Building, The High Line, and Macy’s, there’s no shortage of dining outside, but Chef Laurent Tourondel has made ‘dining in’ a must, with his Italian-influenced and industrial-styled L’Amico and The Vine.

The customer service at Hotel Eventi was amazing. From the check in experience, to the greeters / doorman. Little things like having umbrellas in the room because of expected rain and texting me to remind me of the umbrellas, sending out a text message to check in on our experience, having the doormen greet us each morning with a smile,… Read more

Little things like having umbrellas in the room because of expected rain and texting me to remind me of the umbrellas, sending out a text message to check in on our experience, having the doormen greet us each morning with a smile, especially, Chris, engaging in conversation and not to mention the housekeeping staff who were diligent in ensuring we had what we needed. Great hotel, very comfortable and clean. Free wine in the lobby in the evenings and free coffee in the morning. Also the very best pizza! We had it twice. Will was great, very friendly and helpful and saved us from getting run over by the crazy people on electric bikes!

I have been staying at the Kimpton Eventi for over 10 years, at least 7 to 10 times a year, and despite the endless hotel options in New York City, I always come back here. What sets this hotel apart is not just the location or room options but the people. The Kimpton Eventi NYC team makes it feel like a second home. A true sign of great leadership is team longevity, and it is remarkable how many familiar faces I see year after year. Every time I return, I am welcomed like family. They remember details, ask about my wife and daughter, and genuinely care. That kind of continuity and warmth is rare in hospitality today. I especially want to recognize all the amazing folks I interact with regularly -- Victoria, Jin, Emily, Marilyn, Celine, Jennifer, Derek, Francisco, Kirk, Will. Their kindness and attention to detail always make my stay feel personal and memorable. When my family joins me, they go above and beyond to make sure everything is seamless, from remembering their preferences to offering thoughtful touches that show they care. Kimpton Eventi is not just where I stay when I come to New York. It is where I feel valued, known, and looked after. After more than a decade of experiences here, I can confidently say it is one of the best hotel teams in the city. Thank you for creating something truly special. Read less
Shockingly bad housekeeping.
مايو 31, 2025Camper768442
The room was fine. Car noise from the street was bad, even on the 20th floor -- nonstop honking every afternoon and evening, but it usually subsided after midnight. The strangest part was the housekeeping. They clearly cleaned the room and replaced the towels but they simply threw the sheets on the bed and threw the bathrobe on a chair (see… Read more

The strangest part was the housekeeping. They clearly cleaned the room and replaced the towels but they simply threw the sheets on the bed and threw the bathrobe on a chair (see picture). I have never experienced anything like this in a hotel. I sleep hot so I left one of the sheets on the floor, but I expected at least some attempt to make the bed. Also, it was odd that we had to request a coffee maker and shower caps, but they did deliver them after we called. Read less
