Overall, everything was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool and hottub were clean and at a perfect temperature. The rooms were very clean. The mountain views are amazing. This was not my first time here and it certainly will not be my last.

This was our first experience at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. First of all, it is a family-owned business with a certain warmth and charm that you can’t always find at a large corporate hotel. The lobby is a nice size with a number of places to sit for a quiet conversation or to enjoy a book. We changed rooms and upgraded to a suite as we chose for more space to sit and relax. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job of keeping the rooms clean. We were impressed that the beds are triple-sheeted; not always an easy find in a hotel. The restaurant and the tavern are connected and the food is amazing. Breakfast is included in your stay, which is a very nice touch. In my opinion this hotel is situated in the most perfect of places, and backs up to White Horse Ledge - a stunning backdrop! Some guests prefer the front, stunning mountain views, but I loved looking at the White Horse Ledge when I woke up each morning. There’s a pool, whirlpool and a 9 hole golf course. I had a spa treatment in the small but serene spa, which I really enjoyed. All in all, this is an excellent hotel choice to enjoy all the White Mountains has to offer! Read less

On arriving at the hotel we were met with dirty carpets in the foyer and a room that was very corporate in design with little to no personal touches. The bed was comfortable however not sure why hotels have stopped putting the duvet inside a case which is washed - feels very unhygenic that a duvet which is never cleaned is flapping around in your face all night. Breakfast was OK and nothing to write home about, and I was expecting more given other reviews. It was simple fare you could get at any diner. On our last morning 4 tables around us had dirty dishes on them that were not cleared away during our meal. The hotel had a pool that is over heated and not suitable for swimming in however we did enjoy the sauna. I found reception staff completely lacking including Justin who I asked if I could give feedback to on our departure. He didn't have the courtesy to look at me once when I gave it. I had an emergency and had to go to a medical centre early one morning. I rang to reception for help given I am not from the US which is very apparent from my accent, to check the opening times. The reception said she didn't know. No offer of further help. No empathy. My partner then told them we had found a centre and our bags were in our rooms but werent sure how long it would be to get treatment. We were told they needed the room for someone else. Again, thanks for the help and support. It's a poorly run hotel slightly past its prime. Definitely a 3 star and don't expect any service above this. Read less

Wonderful hotel- the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was delicious! It is really close to hiking trails and downtown North Conway. Highly recommmend! Only tiny downside was the lack of a microwave, but honestly that was such a small thing!

The pool is nice. Hot tub small. Beautiful decor. Very nice sauna. Wonderful bar and restaurant. Beautiful scenic location. Wonderful staff. Room 321 was nice with a rock view. North Conway town is beautiful, walk to echo lake, drive to cathedral ledge.
