The hotel

Las Vegas excels at delivering the impossible in wonderful ways. Where else can you touch down in the Mojave desert and, within 15 minutes, find yourself being serenaded on a gondola ride to St Mark’s Square? A magnificent greatest hits of Venice’s architecture and canals located in the middle of The Strip, the all-suite Venetian is probably the most romantic hotel in Vegas, so let yourself be seduced. Wonder how you ever managed to stay in anything smaller than a suite before, enjoy a meal from one of the Michelin-starred restaurants, walk hand in hand down the Grand Canal shopping esplanade or party the night away in one of the many bars and nightclubs.

We stayed at this hotel and were very pleased. The room was spacious, clean and bright. We especially liked the stunning view from the window on the 30th floor - simply mesmerizing! The service was top notch, everything was organized conveniently and comfortably. A great place to relax, we will be happy to come back again.

Everything was wonderful for my wife and I we had a wonderful time and the Venetian staff were awesome... helpful respectful and made us feel great! The Best thing we did is that we did not have to leave the Venetian for four days and there was more to do.

The hotel was.excellent.rigjt up to the last day. Unfortunately the morning of our departure, we prepared are luggage and went down to breakfast as we always do. When we got back to the room our keys would not work. We were happy to see the full staff of room service personnel working on the floor but non of them would let us in the room. We spoke to the manager and still no help. We were told.wr.need to take the long trip down to security. What!!! We politely asked if they would call down and confirm our identities as we.were.runningblate for the airport. They would not help. Thankfully, on our way back down to security, we ran into Hernando, who was working elevator security. He listens to our situation and immediately called front desk management. It took a total of a half hour but finally they sent a "runner" to open our door. Very poor performance hotel in this situation. One quick call from toom service should have taken care of the problem. Not happy. Read less

This is an amazing hotel. We would happily return. Conveniently located at the center of the Las Vegas Strip. What was good about the Venetian was the check-in: friendly and helpful staff, and honoring our request for a quiet room. It’s not easy in Las Vegas to find quiet, but our room was mostly quiet at night. Except Saturday night, when a hoard of screaming, drunken party animals occupied a room near us. The party spilled out into the hall, but hotel security staff quieted them down around 10:30pm. Parking was convenient and easy. The bed and pillows were high quality and very comfortable. The variety of restaurants and shops here is unparalleled. And there are so many choices for food. And the gondolas on canals, running through the resort, is charming. Negatives: I’ve never heard of a luxury hotel with no in-room coffee service. When you wake up in the morning in Vegas, most people want a cup of coffee. Guests hunting coffee are compelled into long queues at Starbucks, in the lobby. My wait was 25 minutes, behind 30 customers. In the Starbucks serves lousy, watered down coffee. I was also disappointed that the room had no bottled water. I saw guests lugging boxes of bottled water to their rooms. If you drink the mini bar water, the 4 bottles of Evian, the price is 64$. It would be more fun to feed that $64 to the hungry slot machines! Actually, the tap water in Las Vegas is ok to drink. Read less

Having read previous reviews, my eyes were wide open to potential issues and concerns. However, I did not experience any issues at all and having looked at the various hotels on the strip I think the Venetian is the best hotel on the strip All staff I spoke to were professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent (refurbished city view room) with the view overlooked the strip and rebuilding of the mirage (to become the hard rock) with the mountains in the background. We really appreciated the size of the room and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. If you are looking for a great place for breakfast/brunch I would strongly recommend Zeppola cafe in ‘st marks square’. The only change I would request is having tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Read less
