Went to stand in line and there was about 6 people ahead of me but it took over an hour to get checked in. Once I got I. The room, the mirror light wasn't working. Furniture was old and had a weed smell to it. No good table games or poker room. They were all 6/5 blackjack and not 2/3. Was just in town for the wsop but should have stayed on the strip. It would have been better. Read less

Fantastic remodel!! Loved staying in the room. Great value for the money. Can’t speak to the other aspects of the hotel but for somewhere to stay and chill, I loved it. Close enough to the strip. Took me 25 minutes to walk but you can also uber there for $10 each way.

Stayed 2 nights in room 945 ipanema tower. Room was very clean. Spacious (500 sq. Ft) room layout with a comfortable sofa. Price was reasonable for mid week stay. Nice view overlooking pool. That is about it for the positives….. Like many Vegas rooms, mine lacked a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Ice machine is located near elevator. Was plugged in and running but produced no ice. Same status next day as well as morning of checkout. Nearest ice on 8th floor. The one TV in the room was a really large 65 inch and really cheap. Poor audio quality and it was NOT a high def feed. Mattress quality was fair, definitely not premium bedding. Turned the shower on and waited a few minutes for water to heat up. Stepped in and realized the shower drain was partially or completely clogged. By the time I finished a rushed shower the water was already overflowing the low threshold and partially flooding the bathroom floor. Called to report the problem. Was forwarded to an AI bot that asked many questions to verify the issue. It took several questions and minutes to provide answers to all questions. Stayed in room for an hour or so expecting a return call by a real person or a service response. Received neither. For 2 days. Took a 1 minute shower the next day to avoid another flood. I assume the drain is still clogged. Casino was relatively dead. About 80% of the tables were not open. The few that had dealers were about half full. Most of the restaurants were closed Monday thru Wednesday, including the high end dining options. I was not a fan of the music that was played throughout the casino but that is a personal choice. Overall, a rather depressing stay. Read less

The room was very pleasant and I had a bathtub that I took advantage of. The staff was helpful to answer any questions and would help if I needed anything. The Rio seems to be getting better day-by-day. I had a great stay at the Rio, just what I needed.
