Everywhere you turn there are awesome spectacles to behold in this exotic wonderland, including the amazing 1.6 million-gallon aquarium known as Shark Reef, world-class nightlife, and top class cuisine makes an appearance in Kumi Japanese Restaurant. More highlights include the whopping five swimming pools, lazy river ride, and a wave pool with a sandy beach, all of which give you a welcome relief in that midday Vegas sun. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Birthday and anniversary weekend

Excellent pool complex and hotel. The room was great. Went for our anniversary and partners birthday. Met up with a couple family members. Wish the weather was a little better but we needed to get away and relax. Loved relaxing in the lazy river.

Check in was great, staff was friendly. The ice machine was broken on my floor, and the solution was to wait 30+ minutes to get ice delivery to my room, or go downstairs to the bar. You are key locked to your floor, so I could not go to other floors to get ice. This is America and I want my ice. The area on the way from the casino to the hotel… Read more

You are key locked to your floor, so I could not go to other floors to get ice. This is America and I want my ice. The area on the way from the casino to the hotel elevators smelled like fresh hot toilet the entire week. When it didn't smell like an airline toilet, it smelled like chemicals to clean a toilet. And then more toilet. Prices were insane, but that's just contemporary Las Vegas. My $7٫50 Gatorade was not that refreshing. Read less

I needed help buying Cirque du Soleil tickets (the website is broken), and I had to walk 15 minutes to the W to find a human being who could help me. The woman there was amazing, and my interaction with her was a highlight of my day. These three things made the experience feel cheap, predatory, and unwelcoming. It's a poor reputation to cultivate. Stunned to see some of the negative reviews for this hotel and casino. Our experience was just the opposite and excellent in every way. Our check-in experience was fast and efficient with a short waiting time (we checked in on a Sunday night), our room was clean, well-lit, and exceptionally comfortable with a great view north of the strip, the bathroom was very good with dual sinks, a bathtub, separate shower, and private toilet area. The staff was friendly and very helpful whenever we had a question or concern. The Market commissary store on the lobby level was very nice, though a bit expensive as one might expect for Vegas. And, the casino is spacious and does a good job of mitigating smoke so that you aren't bothered by those smoking around you. The pools were also very nice, and the artificial beach great for families with kids. For a more 'adult' pool experience we visited the Moorea Beach Club and enjoyed that very much. The hotel itself is divided into three wings. Separate elevator banks are used for floors 2 thru 16, 17 thru 30, and floors 56 to 62. This makes getting up-and-down fast and efficient, without having to stop on every floor. A convenient monorail links Mandalay Bay with the Luxor (right next door), and then Excalibur. So, if it's extremely hot outside or raining this is a nice option to move back-and-forth between the three properties ... and it's free to use. Of course there are always some cons (no hotel/casino) is ever perfect. The $65 fee to use the mini fridge is borderline ridiculous. If you have leftovers from dinner you have no place to store extra food or drink if you don't pay for this. A more reasonable fee of say $25 would be appropriate (if they must charge a fee). And, of course don't touch or even look at the tempting drinks, food, and snacks from the minibar. If you touch them you could get charged for them, and they are way, way over-priced. But, overall we absolutely loved our stay at Mandalay Bay, and without question would stay here again. No, it's not a 5-star hotel, but it was indeed a 'five-star experience' for us. Read less

It’s insane to me that a resort of this size with 3+ pool/beach areas offers zero shaded chairs or even use of one of the 40 umbrellas but being used without paying cabana fees. I’ve traveled globally and never have I seen ZERO umbrellas. I didn’t just arrive to late, it was confirmed to me that I am not allowed to sit anywhere that has an… Read more
