Legend lives on at The Peabody, Memphis’s grandest address. Deep in the downtown district, it’s just blocks from the relics of rock ‘n’ roll and blues that made Memphis famous, including Beale Street, Gibson Guitar Factory, Sun Studio, and Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. Its most famous residents arrived in 1933, when the General Manager put his hunting decoy ducks in the fountain after a tipple or two of Tennessee whiskey. In 1940, a circus trainer taught them to ‘march’ and they still perform twice a day for guests (needless to say, duck isn’t on the menu here). That’s not the only custom that lives on, there’s the Peabody Afternoon Tea, the extravagant Sunday Brunch, and the simple tradition of indulgence, with the 5 restaurants and bars, Grecian-style pool and whirlpool, summertime rooftop parties, and Feathers Spa.

This is a true treasure and one you should experience at least once in life. The minute I walked in, it was movie after movie in my head. This is a true treasure and one you should experience at least once in life. The minute I walked in, it was movie after movie in my head. I felt like I’d checked into the Majestic Hotel of Dunston Checks In. My bed was like Kevin waking up in 5-star opulence of Home Alone 2! But they also had something even the movies didn’t- the Peabody Ducks! Between the above and beyond service, gorgeous hotel, comfy bed (I cannot express this part enough!), the decor down to the duck-carved soap in the bathroom….the extra amenities and added touches, the turn down service…this is hotel luxury at its finest. Best hotel I’ve had the pleasure to stay at. I was by far the best experience I’ve had at a hotel. I could go on all day about everything that I love about it! Highly recommended.
Warning - Overcharge on Check out invoice

Good hotel, but warning to others - check your invoice on checking out. I was charged $24 for a Lobby Bar item I did not sign for. My complaint to the hotel about this has been completely ignored despite an email and 2 transatlantic phone calls ( from England). Very disappointed at this total lack of customer service. It has marred our view of a pleasant stay in Memphis. Very arrogant of hotel management to just ignore a justified complaint. Read less

We had an unforgettable stay at The Peabody Memphis as we celebrated our mom's 80th birthday with a four-night getaway. From start to finish, the experience far exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the hotel itself—while grand and beautiful—still managed to feel warm and inviting. We couldn’t have asked for a… Read more

not worth the price

stayed at club level and definitely not worth the price. Parking is not included as it was implied, wine selection at reception was the cheapest they could fine and only 2 whites and 2 reds. Hors d' oeuvres were 2 frozen and reheated snacks with cheese and meats selections. Breakfast was OK, you could get get chef cooked eggs.
