Made a last minute overnight trip with family, Beds were a little firm but the rooms were excellently cleaned and large and so tastefully decorated yet still reflected "The King" in a fun way. The pillows were real size, not those small half sized ones. The in room bathrooms were very large and the shower was spectacular, one being a waterfall shower head. I wish that breakfast and more than just sample size shower products were included in our stay. Only one staff person, one of two hostesses at one of the restaurants wasn't so friendly- in comparison to the very smiley, outgoing, hospitable and knowledgeable employees we encountered during our short say, this young person seemed somewhat surly. This hardly ruined our stay as every other things was very good! Our server was attentive but not hovering. The chefs cooked our dinners perfectly. The King shake, bought at the cafe in the morning, tasted like it was made with real ingredients. There was an interesting incident during our stay that we made known to the hotel staff who handled it with grace, patience and a sense of humor! That speaks loads about good training and team leaders! Tips: 1. Book using the website for the best price. The number on the website goes to a third party who I found unhelpful, slightly rude and gave me a significantly higher price than what I found using the website. I convinced them to give me the number of the front desk person, who was much more helpful! 2. Ask about promotions or discounts- they're not offered outright, you need to ask for them. 3. The gentleman at the information desk are so helpful. Ask them questions, don't be shy. 4. Try to schedule your day around activities at the hotel. They looked fun but we missed some of them. Now I know for next time! Read less

In general, we were very pleased with our stay at The Guest House. However, we were disappointed that the room did not included a refrigerator; just a "chiller". The wait staff in the restaurants were fantastic. We would have given this hotel a rating of 4٫5 stars; if we could have.

Great staff-very helpful and friendly I left for the airport on a courtesy bus, then remembered I had left two jackets in the wardrobe. We phoned the hotel and they got the jackets from house keeping , packages them and sent out to the airport on the next courtesy bus

A lovely hotel, however let down by the lack of care with the cleaning staff and management. We had to ask four times at reception on our third day for fresh towels and toilet roll, despite asking the cleaner separately. We were then charged $50 upon checkout for a ‘giftbox’ we were given at check in (which we thought was for our honeymoon) despite us not having anything from this and leaving it in the room (mainly due to the fact a large amount was out of date). General staff were friendly, but management have a poor attitude and the cleaners are non-existent. We left with a real sour taste after the lack of care. Read less

We planned to stay at The Guest House for a couple of nights and ended up staying 5. The room was excellent. No matter what time of day you can hear Elvis music.
