The Caption does not really exist.. it is a converted warehouse (cool) next to the Centric... you check I'm at the centric and access your hotel from the centric. Both buildings look cool, but that is where it ends..most of the staff do not care. The facilities don't exist. The caption has a great bar area with a pool table and guitar... but the bar is abandoned.. not operational any more. There is no where to eat, you have to use the centric. When we arrived, there were cars parked everywhere, in a mess..there were 2 valets trying to deal with 6 guys work. Check in welcome was colder than day old sick. When we returned at 9.15pm, we were told the bar was closed! They relented and served us 1 drink! The restaurant and rooftop were also closed. The swimming pool has 6 loungers for 500 people. We tried to eat breakfast but gave up after 35 minutes of not being served.. It is a shame as both buildings are nice, just badly staffed with poor customer service. The young lady bar tender in beck and call was very good. Oh, it ain't on Beale Street either, about 5 min walk away. Plenty of other places will take your money and look after you. Read less

Pretty cool hotel, adjacent to Beale street, great views of the river. The corner suite was nice, balcony was a welcome touch. Interior decor is lacking for a $500 per night suite, but understand it fits the intended vibe. Just needs to be kicked up a notch in the suites for that price range. Overall a nice place, pool area is pretty cool and… Read more

Interior decor is lacking for a $500 per night suite, but understand it fits the intended vibe. Just needs to be kicked up a notch in the suites for that price range. Overall a nice place, pool area is pretty cool and has room to relax and enjoy the outdoor spaces. This is a pet-friendly hotel, which I was not aware of, and I likely would not have booked had I known. As luck would have it the adjacent room had a dog that barked incessantly when the parents were out of the room. The lobby for Caption is cool as well- a billiard room, large bar and comfy seating, but the bar itself had been abandoned, with no services whatsoever. A drink required a trek over to the main lobby, which is quite a hike. Overall, not a repeat stay for us. We visit Memphis several times per year, and we will only book at the Memphian going forward. Kelvin met us as we checked in and our dogs were treated like royalty. He was so sweet to us and made our stay so enjoyable. We also were able to bring the dogs to the bar in the evening and listen to the live music. They even had a game room where we played Yahtzee. We will come back!! Thanks Kelvin.

The hotel is nice enough, but the caption rooms may as well be shoddy dorms. There were dirty socks left in my room upon my arrival. And I was asked to pay a $20 fee for an early check in after requesting one online and not being warned about the fee. I enjoyed having access to ice and water to fill my water bottle, and the gym facilities were… Read more

I enjoyed having access to ice and water to fill my water bottle, and the gym facilities were nice. There was also a beautiful view from the rooftop bar in the evening. Overall I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay in Memphis if you can. It wasn’t awful but for a nicer hotel chain like Hyatt this place was a let down. Read less

We had a lovely room overlooking the Mississippi River with one large double bed and a bathroom with walk in shower. There was also a fridge and safe in the room. The reception were very helpful upon check in and enabled early check in for a fee of $50. The rooftop bar, Beck&Call, was nice. Great views over the river and delicious cocktails. The only negative was that the pool was not open during our stay which would have been nice, as the weather was quite hot. I think they were doing some renovations to it. This is why I gave it a 4. Otherwise it was a great stay. Read less
