Gold Country? Yosemite? Cutesy Mariposa itself? Whatever your excuse for visiting the region, Best Western Plus Yosemite Way Station acts as an ‘access all areas’ base. Right on Highway 140, it’s near Mariposa’s dining and shopping, and within two miles of California Mining and Mineral Museum and the History Center’s gold panning, a throwback to the gold rush days. Keep driving and you’ll arrive in Yosemite National Park, just over 30 miles from the hotel, or Sierra National Forest, a little further away. Before you head out each day, fill up with hot breakfast treats, waffles, muffins, and naughty pastries. And, when you get back, you can make the most of the tennis courts, complimentary WiFi and seasonal swimming pool and hot tub.

Terrible place. They had a health advisory from their city and we were not aware at time of booking, which was literally the same night. When we went to the hotel and saw the warning we asked for a refund. They said we went through.a third party so we needed to talk to them. I called priceline they agreed. Then the hotel wanted to hear that they would not be charged a commission. Priceline spoke with their partner and they agreed. Then the hotel wanted it in writing which the partner sent an email approving and requesting a refund. I have yet to hear from them. I have called and emailed and have heard nothing. They do not care about their guest. After spending an hour getting this taken care of they still have not done their part. Buyer beware if this place and the whole town with unsafe water quality. This hotel should be a Best Western Minus!

Having stayed at many Best Westerns, this one is very poor. The beds were extremely soft where you roll to the center. The towels were essentially rags as they have had so much use. The pool and hot tub are under construction but the website doesn’t state that at all. Their breakfast was one of the worst offerings… they didn’t even have… Read more

The pool and hot tub are under construction but the website doesn’t state that at all. Their breakfast was one of the worst offerings… they didn’t even have bagels nor English muffins. And the coffee- let’s just say it got dumped. I can’t believe what they charge. Not worth it. The air conditioning was great however! Read less
Great Stay

We stayed here for 3 nights. Checking in was smooth. The room was clean, beds comfortable, air con was fab. The breakfast was quite good. The hotel is just on the edge of Mariposa Town. It’s about 5mins walking distance to the Main Street which has a few restaurants. There is a shop opposite the hotel which is open until 12am. All in all we had… Read more

This is a wonderful Best Western hotel. We visited in the off season month of January, when visitors to Yosemite are many fewer than in the summer and fall months. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff and they gave me a full summary of the amenities available at the property. She gave us a top floor room on the back side (quieter side) of the building, as we requested. The room itself was well appointed, with two comfortable queen beds with very nice linen and 4 small pillows on each bed. There was a Keurig coffee maker and a microwave and a mini-fridge as well. The heater in the room worked very well to take the cold chill off the night. We enjoyed the peace and quiet on the back side of the building. We had breakfast each morning in the breakfast room, which offered a nice assortment of hot and cold items. All of the staff that we encountered were professional and warmly welcoming and kind. I would not hesitate to return here again! Word to the wise: there are no elevators so if you don't want to climb stairs, you should ask for a ground-level room. Read less
Over the top in little touches and cleanliness

This hotel was amazing. Very clean and so many little touches, from giving a map of the town, to real plates at breakfast, to a little bow on the bath mat. Front desk mentioned the cutest little bar and recommended restaurants with great food. They even gave me a choice of rooms so that I could have a quiet rest. Free hot and cold drinks in… Read more
