Poor Experience Hotel Shows Zero Effort or Interest

Not impressed with this hotel whatsoever. I would clearly state this is the worst Grand Hyatt I have stayed anywhere in the world. It all started with a poor experience at check in. As a Hyatt Globalist I spend many nights at Hyatt for personal or business. I checked in late with a lot of baggage since I would be headed overseas in a few days. I was offered zero help with bags. Nothing. The front desk person gave me zero information about the hotel other than breakfast would be in the restaurant. It wasn’t clear the club lounge was closed and the elevator indicated as if it was open. The lounge at the end of that hallway was empty . No complimentary drinks, nothing at all. it seems this hotel has a destination charge per day for every customer. There are a handful of benefits that come with that fee. Personally I think such fees are deceptive to customers and not in good faith, although they are waived to me as a status member . I was told these benefits applied to me however I was never told what they were. the manager said to me one or two things but nothing was in writing so who remembers? I have been to some amazing Hyatt hotels across all categories. Things are clearly shown or explained. Often the front desk will ask if you have stayed here before. Done if the furniture in the room looked like it has seen better days. often my expectations are met or exceeded by Hyatt. not in this stay. I will never stay there again and instead will choose the Marriott Marquis San Francisco. I also hold lifetime stays with Marriott. Read less
