Andaz Hyatt Gaslamp

Great hotel - friendly staff, good food, wonderfully clean rooms. A bit noisy on a Saturday night outside in the gaslamp, but with closing the windows you don't hear anything. The breakfasts were great, the staff in the restaurant in the morning were friendly and helpful. There is no parking but the valet team is efficient.
Disappointed stay

Lovely hotel but definitely not geared for holidays. Pool , restaurant and bar closed to hotel guests on three days due to private functions. Staff very helpful and supportive throughout. Its a shame as the pool area and restaurant and bar looked lovely and well kept

Nice, smaller boutique hotel in good proximity to the Gaslamp and the Convention Center. The queen room was small but good for a single traveler. Service was great. My only concern was the neighborhood turns a bit a block or so away, so as a single woman traveler i made sure to be mindful. But the night door staff was always diligent so i… Read more

It was a short weekend so we didn't have the need to go too far, but location, room size, decent gym, rooftop pool, etc were pretty good. My only gripe was that we specifically requested our room to be turned one day (we left for a wedding at 2 and didn't return until almost 11:00 pm) - the other days we were able to make due - but when we returned it hadn't been serviced, so we had our dirty cups, no towels, and no toilet paper our last night. That was a bit disappointing. It isn't enough for me to say I wouldn't stay there again, but for an Andaz/Hyatt brand, that was a big fail. Read less
Worst Hyatt experience

In checkin, the receptionist failed to explain any of the hotel benefits such as complimentary welcome drinks, happy hours, rooftop pool. The wifi in the entire hotel was awful and there were barely any spaces to take a meeting. The rooftop would randomly close during lunch hours leaving us no where to hangout or eat. After calling down for some extra towels, housekeeping never came. When we went down to the front desk to ask for towels they refused to give it to us directly. Somehow 4 happy hour drinks at 13 dollars each ended up being 110 dollars on my bill at checkout. Read less
