Luxurious hotel in Santa Monica

The Huntley is a luxurious, well located hotel just a short walk to the Santa Monica Pier and is close to shops and restaurants. My room was spacious and beautifully designed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Their Penthouse restaurant has 360 degree views of Los Angeles and has a great menu and vibe.

I am currently wide awake, facing the prospect of a completely sleepless night. We are staying on the 17th floor, which is right below the restaurant. The loud banging and thumping is incessant, and is making sleep impossible. Absolutely not worth staying here.
Nice, but pricey for the issues we experienced.

This is a very nice hotel, but the fragrance in the lobby is OVERWHELMINGLY strong. Their systems were down most of the time I was there - unable to get extra keys, my key stopped working at one point, never got to get an itemized receipt for the outrageous room service of cookies and milk we ordered. This is a very nice hotel, but the fragrance in the lobby is OVERWHELMINGLY strong. Their systems were down most of the time I was there - unable to get extra keys, my key stopped working at one point, never got to get an itemized receipt for the outrageous room service of cookies and milk we ordered. It's nice they have a gym, but it's SO SMALL compared to the room we stayed in. The hot tub was ok, but the jets barely worked. Parking at the hotel is nearly $70/night so recommend a garage about a block down on 2nd street instead. Due to the expense of the place, I probably wouldn't come back. However, it is in a great location and walkable to so many things like the 3rd street shops, the pier, tons of restaurants and watching sunsets. They also let you rent beach cruiser bikes for up to 4 hours for free. Read less

The staff did not warn us that the tv/ipad in the room were not working during check-in and instead allowed us to go up and struggle with it for a while before calling them.
