In North Hollywood, just minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood℠. Less than 10 minutes drive to the Walk of Fame and a bit further to Beverly Hills. Transfer time from Los Angeles International Airport: 30 minutes (depending on traffic).

257 room and suites. All with a private balcony, air-conditioning, 37" flat-screen TV with access to streaming apps, fridge, bathroom amenities, in-room safe, tea/coffee-making facilities, complimentary WiFi, hairdryer, iron and board (on request). All rooms and balconies are non-smoking.

Deluxe Rooms have 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Complimentary shuttle service to Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal CityWalk® and Los Angeles Metro Red Line Station. Self-parking $33, valet parking $37, plus tax per night (payable locally, subject to change).

The Garland was amazing! Every detail of the hotel was perfect! The employees were polite and friendly, and the house keeping was amazing!! Every day when we came back from a long day of site-seeing, it was like checking in to a new, clean room every day!! It was amazing, and the best I've ever seen! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

First I want to thank housekeeping. Rossana, head of housekeeping, and Cynthia, along with all the stellar housekeeping staff, have made a huge difference during our stay. I don’t know the individual names of all the housekeeping staff that take care of us day to day, but we are truly indebted to them. My wife is immune compromised, and she suffered a serious flare up. Her new doctors have found a treatment that is turning things around. In the meantime, The Garland Hotel and the entire staff have been literal lifesavers, in every way. We were thrown by my wife getting worse. The staff acted as a caring family, above and beyond anything we could ask. Housekeeping worked around our odd hours, and brought anything extra we needed. And they were truly kind and helpful, which can be in short supply these days. My wife’s review of The Garland covers multiple facets of the hotel and its people, all of which are beyond excellent! We want to add to that how much a young man named Bruce has done for us, both before and after my wife wasn’t feeling well. And also now as she gets better. He will help you in any way he can anytime, and by the way, both in healthy and well times gives us great advice about particular foods and beverages. Everyone mentioned in my wife’s review, under “Callie” I can absolutely confirm as the very best. As well as Crystal, Angel and whomever I am accidentally forgetting. William, Matthew, Dom, Gober, Jorge, Don and Kenneth, have been irreplaceably great. As family members and friends have joined us to visit, they have all been so impressed with everything and everyone in the hotel. Not to mention how much fun they have had. The place is fun on top of all the great substance and substantial people who are there. We plan to partake of that fun before we head home. And of course we will always be back. And my wife wants to throw our son’s wedding reception at the hotel, and I am in full agreement. Can recommend the Garland to absolutely everyone, in every way. Read less

Only downside was the aircon was floor based a foot away from your face while sleeping, it was very loud & came on & off through the night. Didn’t effect anybody else but drawing the short straw & being the one close to it, did effect my sleep. The restaurants were out of this world, amazing food, staff were great and reasonable prices considering where we were! We can't recommend this hotel enough, perfect for families and couples. We stayed at the Garland for 2 days booked by our Virgin Atlantic travel agent. As part of a L.A and Hawaii trip. Upon arriving we loved the vibe of the hotel. It’s like stepping back in time, during the Hollywood Golden era! A very busy hotel and rightly so. We were checked in and went to our room. The room was lovely, but did overlook the 101, which is one of the busiest highways in California, it was also quite noisy. We were given the option to move and this time it was greet. Very quiet. My only criticism is that this room now overlooked a wedding venue at the hotel, which was in use 2/3 nights of our stay until 10:30 - 11:00pm. Usually I wouldn’t mind this, but as we had travelled from the UK and were 8 hours behind, sleep was important to us. For me, the hotel would be best to inform anyone staying this side to expect noise and loud music. Or give the option for a quieter room. Especially when we had already asked to move from the highway side. With all this aside, the hotel was great. Lovely staff, we ate in the courtyard and the food was lovely and extremely good value for money! Great proximity to universal and free trolley service! 7٫5/10 - we will be back! T&R Read less
