Pleasant hotel, conveniently located, but flawed

Much of our family was at the hotel for activities as the runner-up to a wedding. The hotel was very well-located. A few blocks away in one direction, we were close to an area full of synagogues, kosher restaurants, etc. And a few blocks in another direction we were on Rodeo Drive and its surroundings! We found the public areas to be pleasant, easy to spend time in, and easy to gather around in. The pool area is not particularly exciting but was also not particularly crowded. My husband and I had M-lounge access which we used for breakfast and snacks, and it was attractive with some delicious pastry. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Our problem came with the room. We had used suite upgrades so at first we thought it was just a peculiarity of the upgrade. But chatting with others made us realize that our problems were not unique. It seems as if the room was designed by someone who had never stayed in a hotel! There was little drawer space, and it was scattered around so all your clothes could never be in one place. The shallow closet made it hard to keep clothes from getting wrinkled, and the rod was set so high I had to stand on the bed to move things off or on it! The charging outlets were neither adequate nor convenient. There were no hooks in the bathroom so we couldn't rehang our towels for another use, or even position them conveniently to dry ourselves. And of course there was no place except the top of the toilet to rest the clothes you wanted to put on after your shower. The issues with the room would probably stop me from returning, even with the advantages the hotel has. Read less

Great service, shoutout to Lance! Thank you for making my stay super nice and comfy! I definitely would come back, the room was clean, I got a quick check in, I loved food and my stay overall was nice even though I stay only for one night. I would stay again!

Every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful and highly professional. Club lounge access is well worth the additional cost; breakfast and evening reception offerings are plentiful and well-presented. All-day snacks and beverages are both convenient and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at the Beverly Hills Marriott for an outstanding visit! Read less
Just OK

This property has a good location, the staff are friendly, and rooms and facilities are clean. On the downside, it’s showing its age and feeling a little tired. For example, not sure what they were trying to accomplish taking a grinding wheel to the (noisy) steel elevator doors—maybe trying to make it look artistic while covering years of scratches? Gym is on second floor and very basic. There is a heated pool. M Club lounge is on the lobby level, and relatively small. While my stay wasn’t awful, it wasn’t a highlight of my visit to Beverly Hills. Read less
Great location and staff

Great location, staff goes above and beyond, comfort is their priority for guests. Rooms could use an upgrade (sofa/window bench had stains) and there was no proper desk to sit at and work. I’ll concede this probably isn’t a routine “business” spot and more of a “destination” hotel.
