The hotel

Fun and futuristic, Yotel has found its spiritual home in Boston’s Seaport neighbourhood – its tech-driven ‘Innovation District’ is the perfect setting for this tech-savvy hotel, with Boston’s famous sights just moments away thanks to the subway stop in its basement. Inspired by the digital age and styled with a tongue-in-cheek nod to first class travel, guest rooms are called ‘cabins’, you get free superfast WiFi throughout, and you even check in at airport-style self-service desks (although Yotel’s ‘Mission Control crew’ are always ready to help). Even the social spaces are first class themed – from the lobby’s Club Lounge with its casual dining and complimentary tea and coffee, to the rooftop’s Sky Lounge, with its views over Boston’s skyline and harbour, refreshing ‘Cabin Cooler’ cocktails, innovative light bites, and playlists designed by its ‘Sound Architect’.

The staff is super patient and the hotel location could not be more conveniently located in the Seaport. From Logan, it’s a free train ride on the Silver line to the Courthouse stop and the Yotel is just above it. I stay at Yotel a couple times a month and I have gotten to know most of the staff. Everyone is great and I get the feeling that I have a home away from home. At first the rooms seem kind of small but you can get one of the larger rooms and after staying there many times you get used to it.

Great location on Seaport with a Trader Joe's just around the corner. Drawbacks though - no coffee in room and only in the lobby for free before 6:00 a.m.! No refrigerator in the extremely small room either. We didn't appreciate just how small 185 sq ft is until we saw the bed in the recline position too allow room to walk around the foot. No refrigerator in the extremely small room either. We didn't appreciate just how small 185 sq ft is until we saw the bed in the recline position too allow room to walk around the foot. The valet had to bring the vehicle around even to remove anything and there was very limited parking spots, having to double park at times, forcing speedy removal to avoid potential accidents. Cafe Nero about a block southeast was a great breakfast spot. Read less

Travelled to Boston for a few days on business and stayed here. I could not fault a thing! The room was really clean, the bed and pillows were really comfy and the staff were friendly. I opted not to have the room cleaned whilst I was there and if you do this you get a $15 a night food credit. The location of the hotel is in a great area with… Read more

I opted not to have the room cleaned whilst I was there and if you do this you get a $15 a night food credit. The location of the hotel is in a great area with plenty restaurants, retail shops and coffee shops nearby and also a short walk to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Boston ☺️ Read less

Try calling this hotel and talking to a person—you can’t. 617-377-4747. It’s a recording and automated only options. No way to get through to the front desk. There’s other hotels like Omni and Hampton nearby that are better and similarly priced.
