I've been heading to the Copley on and off for about 15 years and it's long been one of my favorite luxury hotels. It's managed to hit that sweet spot of being exceptionally focused on guest service and attention without being exorbitantly expensive. Service: Exceptional, as always. They were accommodating with a special request to please leave a picture of David Ortiz (late of the Red Sox) hitting a home-run in the room for my wife to find. One example that stood out was during our second day when the corkscrew/bottle opener we brought unfortunately disappeared during room turnover. I contacted the front desk and the manager, Peter, essentially made it his life's mission to run it down and make sure it was returned to us, for which I was extremely grateful being as it was a $25 dollar corkscrew. A lot of places I know would have just sent us a $5 dollar replacement and called it a day. Cleanliness: 9٫5/10. Sheets were fresh and clean, room was pretty much spotless, no sign of any critters or insects, glassware was spotless. Only small ding is that the shower area had a few signs of mold in the shower and around the base of the shower outside, but that's a fairly small deal. Value: Pretty damn good, considering it's in the heart of Boston and central to most everything. We stayed in the Studio Suite for two nights at about $370/night. Only complaint I really have here is that I asked for a city view and the view was of the brick building right behind them. So.......the building was in the city, I suppose I got what I asked for. Overall though, it's well worth the price. Location: Already addressed. Perfect. Central to shopping, a few blocks from Newbury street, a few blocks from Comm Ave, right on Copley Square. Can walk to the Gardens in 15 minutes. Food: This was disappointing. My wife's meal was excellent (the spanish octopus), but the ribeye and bone marrow I ordered from Oak was a miss. The steak was overdone, just drowning in butter, and had a huge amount of grisel. The marrow bone had no marrow to speak of, and for $67 I'd expect the steak to at least work. The sides were excellent though, and the creamed spinach brought tears to my eyes. Overall, a few hits but I'll go back, obviously. It's a Boston institution that makes every effort to live up to their name and tradition. I'd call it a 9٫4/10 for this visit. Read less

Alert: there is major construction in Copley Square so don’t bother to pay extra for a view. You won’t get it and instead you will get noise. Otherwise its a lovely hotel. The Signature Suite was extremely clean and up to date while still being authentic. Reminiscent of the Gilded Age.

As with out previous stays, the service was impeccable yet still personal - among many services, it is so nice to be recognized by the Hotel staff when we return. We stayed in a corner suite on the Gold Floor - this is definitely one of the nicest hotel rooms anywhere. It was very spacious, nicely appointed & great views. Read less

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. The Fairmont Gold lounge was comfortable, very well laid out and private. The food selection was imaginative and tasty and a wide choice.
