We had an amazing stay at the Ritz Carlton, from the moment we arrived the staff really made us feel welcome. The service of the staff really makes the difference at this hotel. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 8 nights and we really couldn't fault it. We travelled with 4 adults and a toddler; our group had dietary requirements of vegetarian and gluten free. My wife who is coeliac and vegetarian can often struggle eating at places but there was no problem here. The chefs would go over and above to make sure our requirements were catered for. A big shout out to Glen and Robin for creating us specific foods and making sure we were all happy. Also have to give shout outs to the staff at the buffet restaurant. They really made an effort with our daughter who loved going there. We spoke to many of them and got to know them and they really do a fantastic job. Pavan from the waiting staff, Vijay on the pasta counter, Rizwan and Shravan on the dosa counter, they all were great but a big shout out to Ashok - he really looked after us and our 2 year old daughter who grew so fond of him. Sitting by the pool the service was no different, the staff were always attentive. They would make sure you always had water, came round with menus, they would provide ice lollies and come round to clean your sunglasses which was all fantastic. We ate at the restaurants Li Jiang and Mijana during our stay. They catered to our vegetarian and gluten free diets and the food was delicious. Great service with brilliant food. We would also visit Mijana in the evening for a drink and our favourite member of staff was Allam. He truly looked after us. He even made sure we had a place to watch the football. We had some great conversations with him and his service was exceptional. We can't forget the doormen, all of them were great but in particular Asuman, Salman and Venkey were fantastic. We would speak with them everyday just to have a laugh. Everytime you leave or return to the hotel it was wonderful to be greeted by them. What makes this hotel fantastic is of course the facilities but mainly the staff and the level of service. Every staff member we came across was willing to help and always greets you with a smile. If I really need to find something wrong I would say maybe the corridors and room decor could do with a bit of modernising but that wouldn't bother us from going back. You arrive at a grand hotel entrance and a team of welcoming staff to take your bags give you a refreshing mint drink. Our room had two queen beds separated by a sofa with light, bedside table and charging on one side of each bed only, so couples really need a King room. Not a lot of space for clothes and cases in which is quite a large room. Good bathroom, balcony with supposed 'canal view' actually was a pool and hotel view with a small stretch of the canal visible beyond. The canal had jetskis playing on it all day and into the evening. Noisy, along with pool music and general pool noise. There is nowhere to really relax quietly. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the same buffet served lunch and dinner with good choices and quality. There is a small bar alongside the outdoor Padel courts, a small bar poolside and a coffee and snacks place on the ground floor. The venetian area advertised was closed. Location is a challenge. It is very close to the Grand Mosque but 20-25mins taxi from the city, Louvre and other attractions in one direction and 20 mins by taxi from the Yas Marina and airport in the other. It took an hour by car to get to Dubai Marina. There is a liquor store at the end of the driveway. Read less

Joseph was there every morning to greet us, with a big smile and to enquire about our stay, his very efficient team had our coffee and orange juice served to our table, without us having to order, they knew our preference after our first morning. We occasionally had snacks and lunch time drinks in the Club Lounge, where Prahby greeted us with his generous smile and catered to our every needs, he was there again to spoil us for evening drinks, always remembering our preferred wine and cocktails. If you’re looking for a special one to one service, I would recommend paying the extra cost for Club access. We will return again next year. Thank you to you all.
