This was by far the most comforting experience overall at SO Maldives. The staff was amazing and the treatment we received by them went above and beyond. I would like the thank Ana for all her help and quick communication as well as all the staff at the restaurants and activities areas. You honestly feel like you are the most relaxed you have ever been. There was moments it rained but it would last only a couple minutes and be back to sunshine. We hope to return in the future as this was one of the best travel experiences we endured in. Read less

I’ve stayed at multiple resorts across the Maldives, and So Maldives was by far the worst experience I’ve had — and that’s saying something. Let’s start with what they claim: luxury, personalized service, and high-end hospitality. What you actually get is disorganized staff, a completely untrained butler, and service that feels more like a burden than a pleasure. Our butler was useless and made things worse at every turn — consistently late, unresponsive, and at times just flat-out disappeared. Requests had to be repeated multiple times. Simple tasks like arranging activities or even getting basic information turned into a waiting game. Zero initiative, zero follow-through. The rest of the staff wasn’t much better. Communication across the board was sloppy. There’s no consistency, no attention to detail, and certainly no sense of premium hospitality. The resort looks the part, but once you settle in, it becomes clear: it’s all surface. Pretty photos, bad service. What bothered me most wasn’t even the price — it’s that you’re paying premium rates for a completely broken guest experience. If you’re expecting the seamless, intuitive service that most top-tier Maldives resorts deliver — you won’t find it here. Don’t waste your time or money. There are far better resorts in the Maldives where you’re actually treated like a guest, not an afterthought. So Maldives seriously needs to rethink its operations — or stop marketing itself as a luxury destination. Read less
