This is an absolutely brilliant resort. As others have said, staff are great, happy and well looked after by the manager, Chris. The all-inclusive is exactly that. We had an amazing week and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Just a few tips if you’re considering going to Dhigali (and if you can, you should) *Be prepared to gain weight….. the food is fantastic! *Bring water shoes, rash vest (or you will burn when snorkelling) and, bring your own snorkels if you have them (they do provide snorkels) *They do fog, but there will be mosquitos, I’m a magnet for them, bring bug spray and buy some flesh coloured Moskinto plasters to pop on if you do get bitten. They stop the itch straight away and stay on even in water, until you’re ready to remove them. Keep the air con on full and room doors closed to keep those mossies out (there are plug ins in the room provided by the resort too). *Book restaurants for your arrival, by emailing the resort in advance. They’re great at responding straight away. *Download the app to book other dinners whilst you are there, so you can return to your favourite ones from previous days. You can also track where the buggies are for a lift if you don’t want to walk. *The cafe is a lovely place to grab a coffee and cake. Prices are displayed on the boards inside, but there is no charge as it’s part of the all inclusive package. *If you like wine, ask for the wine list at dinner, as this allows you to choose from an extensive list of wines, by the bottle and many of these are also included in your package. *You sign for all meals and drinks and there is space to add a tip. We chose to give cash tips, in dollars, as we went along. *Attend the complementary Wellness session at the spa. It’s really good and you get a little gift at the end along with a voucher for a free treatment if you book another, which I did and both were absolutely wonderful. Worth every penny! *Book the sunset cruise and glass bottomed boat (both complementary) *Dont forget to visit the water sports area to try paddle boarding or kayaking (again complementary) *We had villa 323 and found this area to be perfect. Thank you to Dighali, we had the most amazing holiday with so many lovely memories and really didn’t want to leave. Read less

Wow what an amazing place!!! This was our 4th island in the Maldives and one of the best. Best parts are the beaches on the north side. Although a rock sea barrier has been put in place it has created the most spectacular bays full of fish, baby sharks and new corals. Weather was quite windy in May so snorkelling was quite choppy but these areas were safe and gave you the opportunity to swim through gaps to see the reef edge in more rougher waters. The whole island is very natural with lots of plants and flowers (bring mosquito repellent) The four restaurants Capers, Jade, Faru and Battuta are truly wonderful-there’s everything you could possibly wish for and if that’s not enough then there’s a cafe serving cakes, ice cream and milkshakes and a pizza take away! We used the gym which was well equipped. The staff were the highlight special mention of Ji in reception, Sohidul our room boy, Azza and Neha in Capers and Nissan at the gym - always smiling and friendly. A special thanks go to the head chef Michelle, who went out of his way to make octopus carpaccio when I mentioned I’d tried it in his home Puglia. Would definitely recommend and hope to return xxx Read less

Room We upgraded to a beach villa before arriving and very happy with our choice, we were close to Capers and our section of beach was lovely with plenty of fish to see. The evening turn down is a nice touch. House reef The house reef has lots of wonderful marine life to see and we spent plenty of time exploring Food and drink We are all the restaurants and the food was delicious, capers always had plenty on offer that it was never an issue finding something to eat. The bars were happy to make cocktails not in the menu. Dive centre We booked a manta and turtle trip and were fortunate to see both, we had Greg leading us on his last day and he was very patient with me and pointed things out. Staff All staff were very attentive and I was not able to gather everyone's names but from the ones I did: Chakir greeted us in capers on our first evening and spent time talking to us about the island and our holiday M.Navaaz who made sure to greet us both by our names when we came to the table, he ensured drinks were topped up and have the best service of our holiday. Lana who knew are drinks order after the first couple of days Azza at breakfast who was concerned about my sunburn (that happened prior to arriving) and made sure I had something to put on it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay Read less

What can I say about this resort other than it is fantastic Resort Very clean and well laid out with a bus to take from us from one end to the other on a constant loop. We were there at Easter and were given a beautiful Easter egg and chocolates in our room. Sunset bar went from chillaxed in the day and then for 2 hours at sunset changed into ‘the place to be’ The whole island had a relaxed aura with beautiful beaches and waters. Accommodation We had a water villa which was lovely and well worth the extra, the mini bar added to the seclusion being able to get refreshments and snacks without leaving. You could access the reef directly from the water villa and the positioning of the water villas meant that you are not far from the island (unlike water villas on other islands which stretch out quite a way) House Reef Superb. We are avid snorkellers/divers and were amazed at the quantity and diversity of sea life, including turtles/stingray/reef sharks, as well as big shoals of every kind of fish. You can snorkel around 80% of the island all was equally good and easy to enter from the beaches. . Dive Centre Well organised, helpful and friendly. Food/dining We were on the All Inclusive package. Exceptional equality of food at all restaurants. There was something to cater to every taste and or dietary needs. Best pizzas ever outside of Italy at the pizza shack on the beach. The only negative I can say is that the resort advertises 3 a la carte restaurants (which was a major factor in booking Dhigali for us) however booking one of the a la carte restaurants was somewhat traumatic (on what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday) as bookings were done via the app which you had to access at exactly 9:30 in the morning to stand any chance of getting in to any of them and invariably they were already full or the only slots left were 9:00 at night (too late for us) this may only be a problem at peak holiday periods. Staff They were all outstanding, smiling and attentive at all times. Too many to thank, but special thanks to: The house manager who boxed up our Easter egg and took the trouble to come and find us in the restaurant to tell us had been done The Dhigali dive boat staff could not have looked after us better, the only thing we had to do was dive, they did everything else. Thank you to the cleaners at the water villas for pointing out the various fish that were between the walkway and the villas. Most of which I would have missed. Altogether a fantastic resort and and All Inclusive package, I would go back again tomorrow. Read less

Dhigali is a lovely medium size island with plenty of facilities to offer. We have stayed at its sister island Kuramathi on a number of occasions but wanted to try something a little different. What stands out for this island is the food offering. We were on the premium all inclusive option and every restaurant offered 5* food. We wish we could have tried it all! The restaurants do get booked up very quickly which is worth noting if you’re only visiting for a short stay. The island was kept immaculate, the gardening team, which often don’t get enough credit, put a lot of work into keep paths and beaches serene. Guests wouldn’t realise that the jungle paths need constant maintenance, they kept on top of everything which we appreciated! We stayed in a water villa and had read previous reviews about noise from the bar and proximity to the jetty so therefore asked to be in the middle (which they provided for us). The room itself was spacious and well appointed with a very comfy bed. Brilliant access to the house reef. One of our biggest irritations about this room however, was the frequency of the sea planes. We were not aware that directly in front of the water villas was the landing strip for the planes and they are very, very loud. They are also landing and taking off multiple times a day. The worst was the 6am daily wake up from the sea planes, which as I stated were in relatively close proximity to the villas. It somewhat ruined the tranquillity of the villa. Having known this we would have picked a beach villa instead. Overall, the island gave an exclusive feel and we had a great stay. Read less
