Why TF is there an ashtray in my room? This review is being written not because of the ashtray. It's only because of the poor attitude of the front desk staff. Why is every IHG property is Florida staffed with the nastiest people on earth? Five more words to 200.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would have a hard time staying anywhere else at Clearwater Beach instead of coming back here! The 2 bedroom suite was fabulous for 2 small families yet allowed us to vacation together instead of separate units. The rooms are clean and nice overall, my only suggestion would be new carpet in the whole place. The location to the beach was convenient, while NOT ON the Beach. It's just a short walk or under 2 minute drive to public parking. It does have an ocean view so ask for a room with a view! KIDS EAT FREE Your Entire stay, (With most Adult Entrees), 3 meals a day at Jimmy's Fish House & Iguana Bar, a Jimmy Buffett Restaurant at the hotel next to the Oceanview pool with 2 bars, indoor & outdoor seating and constant live music that really sets the vibes! This is a perfect family friendly getaway!! We've stayed at the Wyndham and their pool is NOT kid friendly, this one is perfect, has a view and even a bar! I give the value here 10/10 for Families! Few things that come to mind: - A few pool chairs broken with missing slats - Rooms and decor is EXTREMELY dated and just completely haggered and worn down. - It’s not central to the area where all the shops are so found myself walking so far in the heat which for me wasn’t ideal but for others may find it no problem if the heat isn’t too much for them. - Room air conditioning had loose wires coming out of it which was dangerous - the lift genuinely looks like it’s on its last legs They are doing renovations and that meant we had banging literally all day everyday and they wouldn’t move us. It woke us up 8am everyday and went on all through the day when trying to nap etc. Apart from that the rooms were clean; and the people somewhat helpful and friendly. Read less

The family suite was a lot bigger than the pictures online and gave us everything we needed. Woke up very early the next day and headed for a great breakfast at Jimmmy's. My youngest received free food from the kid's menu which is a perk of staying at the hotel. Spent time by the pool where there was always free loungers and friendly staff at the pool bar. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the beach and there is a small supermarket and miniature golf just along the road. Clearwater itself was fantastic, we were there at the start of the Sugarsand festival and the buzz around the beach was great. We even saw Dolphins from our balcony!! I'd happily return. Read less

As the previous reviews suggest, this place is indeed run down. While I understand that renovations are underway, bringing this property up to IHG standards will require either a complete overhaul or meticulous attention to detail. Based on its current state, this seems unlikely to happen. This brings me to my first point: this property should be disassociated from the IHG brand immediately. As a Platinum member, I have stayed at numerous IHG properties worldwide, and this is only the second time I have encountered one that appears to be independently owned and fails to meet the brand's criteria. From the entrance, reception, elevators, hallways, to the quality of bedding and towels, and the room itself, everything needs attention. Despite the condition of the room, I must mention that it was relatively clean. Another positive aspect is that the fitness room had adequate equipment, and the pool was nice with a pleasant view of the beach. However, I personally would not stay here again as the value is just not there. If the hotel were revamped, dropped the IHG branding, and marketed as a low-budget, cost-efficient property, I believe it would have potential. Read less
