You can even pick up a carefully curated picnic basket beforehand at Honey Fitz to take with you! Speaking of food and drink, you can enjoy delicious meals back at Evelyn's Restaurant, accompanied by elevated ocean views. But if you're looking for something more casual then the poolside dining is for you. Take a dip in one of the two pools on the ocean sun deck, then enjoy some fresh seafood and an innovative cocktail from the comfort of your sun bed. Make sure to check out the hotel's complimentary activities, from barista classes to tequila tasting - there's plenty of fun to be had. The same can be said for the little ones. The kid's club is also based on the sun deck, and with scavenger hunts and arts and crafts just the tip of the list, they'll be entertained for hours. You can spend hours in the spa or the salon or simply sunbathe with a good book. Whilst you're on the doorstep of central beach, why not use the complimentary bicycles to take a ride down to Las Olas Beach, and the boulevard, famous for its cuban influences, which are reflected in the many shops, bars, and restaurants that line the area.

We planned a family meet-up to spend some quality time together. Patricia reached out to us a few days before our arrival to make sure everything was in place. When we arrived ample staff greeted us immediately, whisking our family's luggage from our transportation into their proper rooms. At the same time we were warmly received by multiple staff members at check-in who introduced themselves and asked if we needed anything. Paige continued the warm reception with a happy attitude and got us checked into our rooms. We had two absolutely beautiful ocean view rooms. The bathrooms felt like a spa unto themselves. The furniture with wood accents and the overall room layouts were superb in addition to excellent materials throughout. A designer's & architect’s touch without a doubt is present. Each room was spacious and had a large outdoor covered balcony with a dining table along with other seating. The rooms had smart levels of lighting and a tablet that served multiple purposes for everything from in-room dining ordering to housekeeping requests. During hot humid Florida days the rooms stayed perfectly conditioned. We received a few custom-written notes throughout our stay with multiple welcome gifts which were delightfully done. The pool area had both a separate adult and family pool that were somewhat isolated from one another. This area was nicely looked after and another feature of the hotel we enjoyed a lot. Speaking of which, a small mini golf area was such a fun activity that we did as a family every day. It was covered as well from the elements. Whether we were on the way to/from the beach, dinner, or just strolling around. It was a neat activity that we couldn’t resist just one swing at when we passed by. The entire hotel was nicely looked after at which seemed to be at the highest standards. Everything was excellently maintained. Nothing ever looked worn out. There was a large production cast with actors filming a commercial while we were there which was interesting to see. A wedding also occurred another day. I found it impressive that with two large events happening still service never missed a beat for us. The house car service was flawless and something we enjoyed a lot. Jarred at the front desk was prompt to get this service set up on multiple days and was nice to talk to throughout our stay. Jarred was always there if we needed anything. Taking us a great family photo too. Jesse was a pleasure to interact with each time when using the car service. He was a professional driver and a joy to interact with. We got to experience both the Lucid Air and Moke, which did not disappoint. For breakfast at Evelyn’s we were attended to by Johnny. Johnny was amazing. He jump-started our day with an exciting attitude and helped us celebrate a special occasion which meant a lot to our family. Johnny made it an experience and a perfect way to begin celebrating our time together for a special occasion. Johnny was able to speak Spanish which is the native language of some of our family so he was able to connect with them on a personal level. One evening when returning from dinner we were provided a champagne toast in the exquisitely decorated lobby to celebrate the special family occasion. Another extraordinary moment. One of many during our stay. Anthony at the beach service did something that made us feel very looked after. My Wife was mentioning how she wished she had some gear to see the fish under the water. Which seemed like only seconds later Anthony appeared with multiple goggles and to my Wife’s delight she and our family were able to use them. The beach service was great with some tasty drinks, but that moment I felt showcased an excellent level of attentiveness by going above and beyond. Services buttons are provided as well throughout different areas as such if needed. I wish I could thank by name the housekeeping staff that I never had the pleasure of meeting. Unsung heroes. Both the daily and evening turn-down services were fantastic. Wow! It felt like magic. Every little detail was taken care of. From cleaning my sunglasses with and leaving a stunning Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale cleaning cloth during turn down while we were at dinner to take home, to wrapping our charging cables in a Four Seasons leather cord organizer that was provided by them. Fresh slippers. Nighty treats. The spotless bathroom that was more spa-like than a bathroom. I could go on and on. They deserve to be recognized without a doubt. Nothing says beach vacation like breakfast in-room dining on a balcony overlooking the ocean. We placed the order on the in-room tablet and at exactly the moment it said breakfast would be delivered Nicole arrived at our door. She joyfully set our table perfectly outside on the balcony with a fine touch. She was awesome, and we enjoyed this moment a lot. Flawless and wonderful experience. The spa was stunning. Very luxurious. Could have stayed there all day, and did for a long time. When the rain hits, head to the spa as Nicole said when setting up our breakfast. Chris at the spa welcomed our entire family and attended to us for multiple hours. He was patient with us. The spa was enjoyed by everyone. A comfortable and relaxing time. Eva at the front desk mailed some postcards for us which was thoughtful of her and she was kind to interact with. From the moment we arrived it seemed like everyone had learned our names and we were addressed as such throughout our entire stay. Jennifer was a pleasure to interact with and was always greeting us. Asking if there was anything we needed. How was our day. Our meals. She provided excellent service. Nathalie at checkout exemplified extraordinary attentiveness and a sincere attitude. A nice conversation that really put the cherry on top of a remarkable stay. We recapped our stay's highlights and shared with Kalie the assistant director of rooms our highest thanks. We were happy and excited to have a moment of her time to share with her our experience. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. An exceptional experience. Thank you to all the staff who made it possible. Read less

I stayed here one night over Memorial Day weekend. Because I had been waiting for over 3 hours for my room, they graciously upgraded me to the presidential suite #400 which featured a huge wraparound terrace facing the beach where you could easily throw a party for 50 people. The room was actually a 2 bedroom suite with 3 baths. I wish they would decorate a bit more; their various properties seem too often be somewhat bland in the rooms. The shower, lights and ac were all functional and easy to work. The two pools are good and heated; i wish they had been a bit larger. The gym is decent and comparable to the one at the Ritz Carlton. There is a spa with steam and sauna, but those facilities are not open at night and there is no machine to spin-dry a bathing suit. The beach is across the street. They have lounges and umbrellas, but the beach is public and you're out there with the riff-raff. Breakfast buffet was excellent with several cold items that were interesting and healthy (although I don't understand how they ran out of cream cheese at 10am). Dinner at Evelyn's was well done; the food items were of high quality and nicely presented. I did not particularly enjoy my dinner because I found most items (except for dessert) to be a bit too spicy, but that's a matter of taste. I like fish and thought the menu was sparse if you eat fish but not shellfish. I also thought it was overly expensive; I had soup, pita bread, salmon and two sides, and dessert. No beverages. Bill came to over $140. What caused that is that the salmon comes with no sides, so you have to pay for each side. The fish and the sides came to about $85 with tax and tip. If I didn't have Amex FHR giving me $100 toward the dinner, I would have been better off going off property for that dinner. The other restaurant on property MAASS does not accept FHR F&B credit. The menus at the Ritz Carlton are more to my liking. Not everyone wants to be at the cutting edge of dining. The biggest pain point here is not at the hotel; it's the drawbridge that you must cross to get off the island. It goes up at 15 and 45 past the hour. Everyone thinks it's at the top of the hour. You can get stuck there on the way to the airport, sometimes I'm told for 15-20 minutes. It's about a 20 minute ride to the airport if you don't get stuck. As a tourist destination, I'm not crazy about this area. The beach area is not upscale and there is no pleasant place to walk down the street from the hotel. It's OK and safe, but nothing to see and no place to go. The hotel gets the job done at the 5-star level and ticks off the boxes, but there is no wow to this property. You probably come here if you have a reason to be in the area or want a nice hotel not far from the airport. What I can tell you though is that it is being meticulously maintained; grounds crew are on the job 24 hours a day checking things out and making sure the place is perfect. I was impressed with that. Welcome amenity which was dropped off at 6pm included water, oranges and a hand written note from guests relations. No personal name. Evelyns breakfast buffet was cringe. Ate there for 7 min and left. It had minimal choices and waitress recommended ordering additional items if I wanted something better than scrambled eggs. Pools were small and beach you have to cross the street at your own risk. Beach attendants also do not care to set up unless you act like a Karen and get their attention. If your Amex FHR/aspire holder then better to cross the street and go to the Conrad. Read less

We’ve been fortunate to visit several Four Seasons properties around the world. For my birthday this year we decided on the Ft. Lauderdale location since it’s an easy flight for us and the weather is great in April. The property is beautiful and in a great location. It just doesn’t live up to the Four Seasons brand/experience. We booked a King Ocean view room. The rooms are lovely. Bright, clean, and modern. However, I was disappointed our room had only one small sink/vanity and a very small, minimal bathroom. No bath tub. It was misleading based on the photos on the website when booking. Also, we had a very nice patio with a beautiful view of the ocean. Unfortunately, there’s constant noise from delivery trucks and commercial air conditioning units outside beneath the patio, so it’s difficult to relax on the patio let alone even hear the ocean. What was most disappointing was the inconsistent level of service from the employees. One day, we had excellent and attentive pool service. The other two days, we asked for refills of water multiple times and never received it. They didn’t provide any of the typical Four Seasons pool services (sunglasses cleaning, poolside snacks, etc.). It was very hot and sunny and we weren’t allowed to use umbrellas because of the wind. I know that can’t be helped, but the wind didn’t seem dangerously high at the time. On another occasion, we went to our room after spending the day at the pool and it still hadn’t been cleaned at 5pm. We also didn’t get turn down service one night and had to call the front desk to ask for it. Perhaps the most frustrating issue happened one morning when there was a plumbing issue in the bathroom. We called the front desk to report it and were told they’d send someone right up. We waited an hour before calling back and were again told they’d be right up. We then waited another 30 minutes before calling for a 3rd time. Having a functioning bathroom is an urgent need and it was disappointing to say the least. I know reviews like this can come across as entitled and critical. These issues may seem trivial, but when you’re paying around $1000 a night for a room at a Four Seasons property, there are certain expectations. We enjoyed our time in Ft. Lauderdale and had a great vacation, but, unfortunately, the Ft. Lauderdale property fell short of what we expect from a Four Seasons experience and was disappointing. Read less
