Arrived early. Had car valet parked, yea it’s expensive but there’s no choice if you are on a self drive holiday. Arrived early. Had car valet parked, yea it’s expensive but there’s no choice if you are on a self drive holiday. Pre-checked in, dropped our bags and walked straight to southernmost point and on into key west. Location of hotel is very good, particularly as we tend to walk a lot around locations. Hotel room was really nice, slightly odd that the closet was in the bathroom, so we chose not to hang stuff in there as figured it might get steamy. Air con very noisy, but ceiling fan on its own worked just fine to keep room cool. Walk to room via what felt like endless concrete balconies made us a little nervous to what we might find but as I said room was great. Huge bed was extremely comfy, not much of a view from balcony but hey I wasn’t there to sit on it. Had a couple of beers at the bar and had a breakfast included package. Glad didn’t buy breakfast at the hotel as it was ok at best. Didn’t eat dinner in the hotel as so much choice elsewhere, Chose to sit on the beach area, bed attendants were very friendly. Beach nice. Rating as a 4 star as I didn’t like the pool area, not the hotel’s fault, but it was busy, noisy & pool itself full of people lounging in the water continually eating & drinking all day. Did not make for a pleasant environment and I’m not sure I want to swim in a pool where people have washed off their greasy hands etc. Read less

I'll start with the good... 1) The Front Desk person, Foster, was great. Very personable, and helpful. Gave every person he attended to his full attention, remembered our names throughout our visit, and seemed determined to give us the best experience possible. 2) Beach was probably one of the nicest on Key West. I'll start with the good... 1) The Front Desk person, Foster, was great. Very personable, and helpful. Gave every person he attended to his full attention, remembered our names throughout our visit, and seemed determined to give us the best experience possible. 2) Beach was probably one of the nicest on Key West. KW is not known for its beaches, but this one was we appointed. 3) Room was clean and modern, but not without issues ( below) The not so good... 1) Configuration of our Suite meant the AC blew into the main room, but struggled to get into the bedroom. 2) Weird issue with our ceiling fan/ light - both would go on/off without notice. Light turning on in middle of the night. Pricier than most of the B&Bs further into town - you miss out on the beach, but is that really why you go to KW??? Thinking next time I'll go for a quaint B*B and bypass the beach... and save some $$$ Read less

Booked five nights here with points. After reading reviews I was very nervous. We got back a couple days ago and had the best experience! I am a gold member and received an upgrade to resort view without asking. Front desk was so helpful, especially Luyana (I think that’s her name!) Everyone had a smile and welcomed us back each day, wished us a good day, etc. Beach is powdery white sand brought in from the Bahamas and there was always a free chair. The pool was quite crowded as it’s spring break but we’re beach people anyway. I didn’t need housekeeping every day but did find her in the hall our second day and asked to swap towels and empty garbage. She promptly came and helped me out. A tip for those that don’t: tip the housekeeping staff! They work hard and you’ll find quickly how much they appreciate it. She came by every single day after. Cons: Yes, there’s some wear and tear on the common areas. But like another reviewer said, it fits the vibe of Key West which is very laid back. Rooms were very clean. Your room may not get very cold despite working ac. It was mid to lows 80s and the ac/ventilation could not keep up with the heat and humidity. I asked for maintenance to take a look (our room was generally about 76 degrees at coldest) and he came up immediately. Couldn’t totally fix the problem but gave some tips that really helped to cool the room going forward. My son has stayed at a lot of hotels and when we left he specifically asked me to leave a positive review so it’s a win for us. Hope to be back! Read less

Miserable experience! Overpriced and terrible service. No housekeeping on multiple days, even after numerous calls and visits to the front desk, overhead fan light randomly came on all night for 2 nights, no hot water one morning….the list is long. You are better off at a campground.
