The hotel

Opened on New Year's Eve 1920, Casa Marina Resort is Key West’s original grand resort. Boasting a dramatic 'water walk' that leads to the resort's two largest swimming pools and the largest private beach in Key West, Casa Marina is a tranquil oasis close enough to the action of Duval Street. Offered on-site is a booking centre for world-class diving, fishing and boating, and it also has one of the largest fitness facilities in Key West, allowing you to work off those holiday indulgences! Guest rooms here are contemporary in style with whitewashed walls, textured tile floors and dark tropical hardwoods — a great place to retire to at the end of a busy day seeing the sights. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. They had just finished remodeling the main building. It was fantastic, rooms are great as was the service. The Casa is back. We have always enjoyed our stays and now that they have updated the rooms we will be back.

They have the Best views. Lovely beach. They have a Great poolside bar and restaurant. There is a Nice bar in the lounge. They have a very Delicious breakfast buffet with everything! My daughter recommends the Lobster ravioli from the beachside restaurant.

The stay at Casa Marina, at $900 a night, was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Everything from the room cleanliness, to difficulties trying to get our room cleaned (yes, we had to beg to have it cleaned and when they came it was 9:00 PM), to faulty elevators and more. Casa Marina was a prime example of how Hilton properties and service have just gone so far downhill. Do yourself a favor and don’t spend this kind of money here - go to one of the more boutique hotels around here that probably have much better service and cleanliness. Read less

Been coming to Casa Marina for 10 years now and NEVER stayed anywhere else. It used to be a Waldorf and was the best place ever. Seems since Curio took over, rooms are nice but the quality of the beach and expectations of the guests has declined. I absolutely love the front desk help. Rianna is the best. Erick, Thobi… too. Seems since Curio took over, rooms are nice but the quality of the beach and expectations of the guests has declined. I absolutely love the front desk help. Rianna is the best. Erick, Thobi… too. Staff is always smiling and helpful if needed. But the beaches literally get worse every time I visit. I counted 14 straws around my one beach chair. There were children’s toys literally in the same place for 4 of the 5 days there. Last room # was 2006. Which has door latching issues. Seldom had to use a key… I like that side of the hotel tho. USED to be more adult side. They used to put up all the chairs every night, pick up trash. Clean the whole beach so you didn’t wake up to the mess from the night before… they raked the beaches every day ESPECIALLY when the seaweed is so heavy. Sand bags exposed. Broken glass. I saw them use the tractors 2 times in the 5 days. I get up every am to watch the sun rise.. crap left out from the previous day… just very disappointed in the beach area. Keep saying "this is the last time I’m staying here" maybe I’ll give it one more shot. Been there 3 times in the last 6 months… Maybe with a guest etiquette list and beach maintenance routine, you can increase your rating. Read less
