The hotel

The accommodation is divided into villas and pool suites, each combining luxury, authenticity, comfort and convenience, to make sure you get the best possible night's sleep. At Black Ginger, The Slate's magnificent floating restaurant, you can experience the subtle, sensuous flavours of Phuket whilst marvelling at the beauty of your spectacular surroundings. The black interior, shot through with accents of brilliant blue from the chandeliers, creates the perfect backdrop for sampling some of Thailand's most innovative culinary delights. For pre and post-dinner drinks, there's open air lounge bar Rebar, where you can relax with a cocktail as you soak up the sun. If you're looking for the ultimate luxury pampering experience, The Slate's Coqoon Spa is the place to go. Devoted exclusively to wellness and indulgence, the spa features luxurious double treatment rooms, a private swimming pool, steam showers, a sauna and a Jacuzzi.

In northern Phuket on the secluded Nai Yang beach. Private transfer time from Phuket Airport: 10 minutes.

177 suites and villas. All with private balconies or terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV, complimentary WiFi access, iPod docking station, mini-bar*, bathrobes, slippers, bathroom amenities, tea/coffee-making facilities, plus a separate shower and oversized bathtub (indoor or outdoor). Pearl Suites have either 1 double bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 people.

D-Buk Family Suites are larger in size and feature a daybed as well as 1 double bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Private Pool Suites feature a larger patio with sun loungers, umbrellas, outdoor bath tub, and private plunge pool, and either 1 double bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 people.

It's the little things that set the Slate apart from the rest. This is the third time that we have visited the Slate, and everytime it is simply amazing. The staff here make certain that you are looked after, the food is always incredidle, the grounds and surrounds are first class. It is a big hotel, that has the feel of a small boutique hotel. The seemless checkin process, leads into being shown to your beautifully appointed room. The pools are beautiful, and the staff always offer water and chilled fruits on a regular basis. No visit to the Slate is complete without a dinner at Black Ginger. the food is incredidle. We had the seven courde Black Ginger Experience, and I don't think we left anything on our plates, it was simply exquisite. Breakfast at the Tin Mine is always fun, even on a wet day, the chance to sit back, enjoying the amazing variety is such a treat. This was our third visit in the last four years, and I can safely say, that there will be a fourth and more. Thank you to the Slate for another incredible experience. Read less

Our seventh stay at The Slate was, once again, exceptional. This resort consistently surpasses expectations. We have created many cherished memories since our initial visit in 2010. If you are seeking an impeccable five-star resort offering superb amenities and facilities, delicious food and beverages at its restaurants, impeccably clean and comfortable rooms, lovely pools and gardens, a luxurious spa, and exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff, then The Slate is the ideal choice. It's location is excellent, with a convenient back gate leading directly to Nai Yang Beach, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll or dine at one of the many beach restaurants, relaxing with your feet in the sand as you watch the sunset. From the moment we stepped into the Slate hotel transfer car it was a blissful and relaxing experience. We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, amazing breakfast and enough little beach bars and restaurants and massage places for a few nights, beach is across the road, 50 metres from the hotel rear gates and all secure. We enjoyed the Black Ginger dining experience also on our last night Small issue at checkout, while a little frustrating, was professionally sorted out by Claude the hotel manager, thank you.
