Where is it

Location in Patong’s southernmost corner. 10 minutes walk to Patong Beach and 25 minutes drive to Phuket Town. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 50 minutes.

I was first made aware of (saw) this hotel as the Coral Reef, and thought it would be nice to stay at one day. Not knowing it would happen, my wish was achieved many years later; and I was not disappointed!!!

The experience of staying here was quite good. only issue that getting from the lobby to the room can take some time, as our room was located on a hill and required a car ride. The experience of staying here was quite good. only issue that getting from the lobby to the room can take some time, as our room was located on a hill and required a car ride. The room itself was comfortable and the hotel is right next to the sea with beautiful views and a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel provides a shuttle service to Bangla Road Walking Street three times a day, which needs to be booked in advance. It would be even better if they could add more shuttle times. Tuk-tuk fares start at 200 baht. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We were especially impressed by Betty, who was helpful and friendly. Read less

Luxurious property with beautiful pools, beachfront, restaurants, lounge use, massage services on the beach, and other facilities. The resort is near Patong Beach, accessible by a tuk tuk or taxi. The rooms were beautiful and all have a sea view. We were upgraded to a suite, and the kitchenette offered a lot ofamenities with one-time free mini-bar use. The only potential downside is that it is far spread out and on a hill, so access between rooms, restaurants, beach, etcetera was a challenge. Although cart services were prompt, accessibility on foot was challenging - something to consider if traveling with senior citizens or very small children. We’ve always been regulars at Amari and loved the warm, welcoming vibe especially how kind the staff were to our daughter. But this visit was a complete letdown. The staff, from reception to the pool, were rude and indifferent. What stood out was the stark difference in how Indian guests were treated versus Westerners something we noticed at multiple places including the restaurant and pool. We came with friends, excited to show them why we loved Amari, but were left disappointed. Even at breakfast, the staff was unhelpful. The cold coffee dispenser was broken, and when I asked for help, I was told bluntly, “Get it yourself or I’ll charge you.” Despite explaining the issue, the response didn’t change completely unacceptable. At the pool staff were super rude , restaurant too. While the rooms were still spacious and clean, the overall service and attitude this time were far from what Amari used to be. Read less
