This was my second time staying at the Village Hotel. It was a great stay as expected. There were a few issues with mould in the ceiling of the shower in the first room - this was addressed, and we were swapped to another room and given a complimentary breakfast, which was appreciated. Breakfast was okay, but I'm not sure I would pay $38++ SGD for it. No issues with our new room, and we didn't find it too small at all - we had two single beds. There are some good dining options nearby, and the location is handy to the monorail, which we took a few times to Vivo City for dinner. We spent a lot of time in the pool, and it was great to have towels always available poolside so we didn't need to use the ones in our room. I would recommend more umbrellas/shade though. Sad to see they don't provide floaties anymore, so we brought our own from home. The pool bar was fun, we got some cocktails, vege spring rolls and fries. Had a great chat with the Guest Services Manager, Winnie, by the pool one evening; she clearly cares about the guest experience, which is much appreciated. I do think that Village Hotel is suited towards children and families, and the Outpost seems to be more suited to adults - I think I will consider choosing the Outpost next time (which still has access to the pools) but I would definitely stay at Village again depending on the price.
