First of all let me compliment the installation of a drinking water faucet in each room. This environmentally conscious gesture helped tens of thousands of water bottles be saved. If I must find fault about the room interior, it would have to be the size of the hanging closet. With an ironing board inside, at most five pieces of clothes could fit in. The drawers were not enough to make up for the lack of hanging space. There were two rooms used by housekeeping to store their supplies after you got out of the elevator. Two pieces of construction material were used as doors. The floor area in front of the doors were dirty. Footprints of dried mud were never cleaned up during our 5 day stay. A displeasing sight…unfortunately. By the way, I was staying on the 9th floor. Read less

Everything about this hotel was first class. The breakfast was amazing, something for everyone - even vegans. The poolside was great to sit beside on a day when the weather was dodgy and the foyer was equally pleasant. No complaints at all, would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.

Superb superb service from the service from Kajesh right from the food tasting all the way to my actual day. My wife and I did not have to worry about anything as he took care of us in the best way possible. Even after the event has ended, he still went the extra mile of making sure we had our drinks brought up to the room and everything was comfortable for us, even when he did not have to as he was in charge of banquet. Felinda was also splendid from day 1 introducing the wedding package to my wife and I, making sure we were well informed. As we decided to celebrate my dad’s birthday as the same time during the food tasting, she gladly assisted us with the order of cake. Not forgetting to mention, she is also extremely friendly and we are grateful to have been serviced by her. Although there was a hiccup, she executed the service recovery very well. Impressed! This is what I call top-notch hospitality service, super big thumbs up for both of them. We are just like the other guests who held their wedding there at Parkroyal Pickering so I am sure they display the same service attitude to the rest with no biasness. The location is within walking distance to Chinatown of the old Singapore is great for the restaurants and bars of all types found there and to compare new and old Singapore. The service at the hotel was top notch, friendly and efficient. Our room was clean, comfortable and out of the ordinary. The hotel is quieter, more personable and less touristy than the hotels on the bay. The management of the hotel marked my birthday by sending a slice of cake to the room, which was a sweet touch. Service leaves much to be desired. On this trip, I was asked if I want to fully pay for the room at check-in (which I did). Unbeknownst to me, that meant that they did not keep my credit card on file. So when I called to check in on the status of my laundry for an evening out, I was told I would not be receiving my items until I paid for the laundry. Now bear in mind that this was only about $50 Sing dollars. They ultimately had to ask somebody from the front desk to come and run my credit card and then after the front desk confirmed payment was made, housekeeping dropped off the items. All-in this took about an hour to sort out making me late for dinner. This could easily have been avoided if (a) they kept our card on file or (b) they emailed me about this so that I don’t find out an hour before my dinner reservation that housekeeping is holding my clothes hostage. We will not be returning to this hotel. Product isn’t bad but service needs significant improvement. Read less
