So much fun and relaxation! Daniel, Maximilian hosted volleyball and poolside Bingo and absolutely made us laugh and have the best time! Our concierge Araceli was so sweet and accommodating. Absolutely felt like they all just wanted us to have the best vacation. So hard to say goodbye.

Stayed: 04/05/2025 – 18/05/2025 in Block 6. This was our second visit to the resort since our first stay in May 2016—and we’re happy to say, it’s even more beautiful now. The lush, mature planting and thriving wildlife make evening walks around the grounds simply magical. Our room was lovely, well-maintained, and just as comfortable as we remembered. The service across the resort remains top-notch—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Room service was excellent throughout our stay. Special Mentions: Front Desk & Concierge: A thank you to the front desk staff who greeted us on our arrival, and the gentleman who collected our luggage. Huge thanks to Angel, whose bubbly professionalism made for a smooth and friendly check-in. He also arranged for us to be moved to a higher-floor room, which we really appreciated. A big thank you to the lovely Billie, our concierge—always smiling, helpful, and a true pleasure to chat with. Special thanks to the lady who cleaned our room. Forgot the slip with her name, I think it was Fioria, apologies if the spelling is incorrect. Dining Highlights: Market Café (Breakfast & Lunch) Great variety and delicious food—we still didn’t manage to try everything during our stay! Shout-outs to: Maria Michelle Otoniel Giovanni – such a cool guy and good conversation. Santiago – great sense of humour Isabelle – her smile lights up her face Carolina – great omelettes at the omelette station! Our only (very minor) comment: the coffee and tea at breakfast weren’t always piping hot—but that’s just us being picky. Coco Café Sandra Cruz Oceana We enjoyed the food and seafood selection. Shout-out to Augusto Himitsu Tasty food and a nice setting. Shout-out to Fernando El Patio We really enjoyed dining here. Big thanks to Gil Seaside Grill Lovely dinner with a nice atmosphere. Portofino We dined here twice—it was excellent both times. Big thanks to Eddie. Entertainment & Bars: Entertainment Team Alejandro – a talented and cool guy! We especially loved his musical performance at the Mexican evening. Aranza (hope we spelled it right!) – sweet, pleasant, and made a great effort to communicate. Myra – with her big, bubbly personality. You made an impression—we smile every time we look at our turtle souvenir! Shows: The Cirque Show was fantastic—very impressive! We really enjoyed the Azúcar Show—high-energy and fun. The Mexican Show was another favourite. It’s always great to learn about the country’s culture through food, music and performance. Barracuda Beach Bar Shout-out to Esteban – always friendly and attentive. There was also a lovely lady working the beach our first week—unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name, a shout out her too. Eunice (spa) – always smiling and a positive presence! Rendezvous Lobby Bar A great place to unwind in the evenings. The cocktails were excellent—my personal favourite was the Chocolate Martini. Staff were consistently pleasant and attentive. We left feeling relaxed, well cared for, and full of happy memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special stay. We hope to return again in the not-too-distant future! Read less

Welcome Home! That's what you hear the minute you arrive at Secrets Akumal and are welcomed by the staff. The resort is gorgeous! The landscaping so well done it makes you feel like you're in a jungle! We stayed in the Preferred Club. A beautiful room overlooking one of the three pools and an ocean view, spacious, clean and stocked with great amenities. The Preferred Club has a lovely lounge where you can have a bite to eat and a drink. There is also a private Preferred Club beach area. Great restaurants and of course the Market Cafe which was my favorites for breakfast and lunch. Oh, and on Tuesday there is the taco truck outside. And, down the beach you can swim with the tortugas! I can't say enough about the staff, from housekeeping, wait staff, and Preferred Club staff. A special shout out to Sandra in Coco Cafe who sent someone to get me some chamoy sauce to put on my ice cream. I couldn't believe she did that!! And also, great evening entertainment!! Hope you enjoy as much as I did!! Read less

A special shoutout to the activities team, (Max, Oliver, Octavio, Arantxa, Mayra, Daniel) for binging so much energy and fun to every event. Karime from concierge deserves special praise for her outstanding service and personal attention; she made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. The poolside team (David, Israel, Jesus, Hector, Alberto) your friendly smiles and daily service truly made relaxing by the pool so very nice. To the hostess and wait staff at the restaurants we attended, (Jamie, Alexa, Armando, Vitalino, David and Marysol). Your service was exceptional!
