We had a lovely time at The Fives Oceanfront in Puerto Morelos. My partner and I stayed 5 nights in a junior suite. The room was lovely and quite comfortable. We enjoyed the upstairs adults only pool and bar for its quiet atmosphere and attentive service. While there are only 3 restaurants on property, the proximity to the main square makes it easy to go explore other food options which we enjoyed. The staff was lovely shout out to Catrina, Joey, and Jair but truly everyone was so kind and hospitable. We will be back! Read less

Overall the Fives is a great resort. Its pretty small which has its negatives and positives. The food options were not great. There are only 3 restaurants and overall food quality was really not worth the inclusive price. It was convenient if you are not confortable leaving the resort. The sushi restaurant was the best in my opinion. Some of the beach staff was not very friendly. I often had to set up my own beach umbrella and chair. I had a negative experience with Gabby on two separate days. She was not friendly and did not want to help me set up and was rude about taking a my food order. I was there to attend a wedding which was beautiful. Overall, I think I would return but I would probably venture off the resort vs opting for food on the resort. It is beautiful and well-kept. The room did smell slightly moldy but I think maybe just the heat and my ac not working well for the first day which the staff was able to quickly fix. Read less

The hotel is in a good location in relation to the town square. Our room was comfortable, and had a mini fridge. Definitely inquire if they have any events scheduled (wedding, etc) There was a wedding one day while we were there, and they took over pretty much the entire hotel. We went for a walk and could barely get in or out due to wedding pics taking up the entire entrance. They then moved to the lobby/ bar area, and took that over for a number of hours, before taking over the beach area for the actual wedding. They don't have the room or staff for these events. You couldn't even get a drink quicker than 10-15 minutes while they took over the front/ bar area! The staff are mostly quite friendly. The restaurants are severely understaffed. We had a wait for everything, at every meal...wait to be acknowledged , wait to order drink, to order food. Food definitely was slow to arrive. The biggest disappointment of this place is the food. I've been visiting Mexico since 1990, and stayed at numerous resorts. I have lived in Puerto Morelos for 8 years, so I know the level/ quality of food in the area. This is by far the worst food I've experienced. No light or casual options other than an afternoon burger with hours old fries. Everything is drenched in sauces, cream, etc. We went AI, but saw the prices listed on the menu if you weren't AI. The prices were higher for an entree than an entire meal at most excellent restaurants in town. If you are looking for "just a room", you may like it. I would recommend walking to town for meals. So many delightful places! I wouldn't recommend AI for anyone as I felt it was waste of money for what they offer. We had to wander off-site to find additional food since it was so poor at the restaurants. A huge letdown for my birthday week. Read less

Make sure to meet these folks who will make your experience amazing!! Bartender Karen Waiters Luigi, Carlos and Joseph They are all amazing and truly helped and went above and beyond!. They are hardworking and always go above and beyond. Rooms are nice and housekeeping is very consistent

Amazing resort! Clean, quiet but fun. Super friendly team members with great customer service focus. Best food we have ever had at a resort AI! Loved it all! Special shout out to Eli, Hair, Vader and the beach service guys. We also truly appreciated the team who kept the beach clean.
