Where is it

Sat on the pristine shores of Xcalacoco Beach in the Riviera Maya, and 10 minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen. Transfer time from Cancun Airport: 40 minutes.

Hotel information

43 rooms styled with contemporary furnishings. All have flat-screen TV, stocked mini-bar, modern bathrooms and 1 king bed. Garden View rooms are close to the beach and sleep maximum 2 adults.

All Inclusive option: includes onsite food and beverages (some restrictions may apply).

Room upgrades 

Oceanview Rooms with partial sea views sleep maximum 2 adults. Please note: these rooms do not come with a balcony or patio.

Beachfront Suites feature a private beachfront terrace or balcony area and full views of the ocean, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Beachfront Swim Up Suites boast a private pool and an oceanfront terrace, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

The Presidential Suite enjoys Caribbean Sea views, spacious living area, expansive bathroom and closet space, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 


Please note: all Beachfront Suites offer beautiful views of the ocean. Some have direct beach views, while others sit just behind the beachfront pool, still providing ocean views with a poolside setting. All Beachfront Suites also feature a balcony. The Beachfront Swim Up Suite category includes a private pool with direct beach access on the ground floor of the hotel.

Enjoyed a fabulous 12 night stay in May at this beautiful boutique adults only hotel with the most amazing staff! We just love the personal service you get from a small hotel, we left knowing all the staff, and them us. Edwin, Conrado and Alejandro would check in with us each day to chat and ensuring we have everything we need to make our holiday both memorable and enjoyable, they wanted nothing more then for us to have the best time. They also assisted us with booking our first scuba dive trip which was a great success. We were allocated 3 ambassadors on arrival who checked us in super efficiently and were on hand for any dinner reservations, golf cart trips to next doors resort and kindly printed our boarding passes for our return trip home. The communication from Melky, Miriam and Jazmine was amazing, all who were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. The food at the hotel and the service from the waiting staff was outstanding, we had the pleasure of being served by Gustavo most days, who always welcomed us with a smile and his friendly nature. The breakfast was delicious, highly recommend the eggs benedict with a side of avocado. Lunch was one of our favourites with several options throughout the week of catch of the day (fish, lingusitne, clams etc) steaks (ribeye, cowboy, new york), bbq on top of the option to order off of the normal lunch menu. Dinner was also fantastic (the steak mignon one of my favourites) and also the chance to dine on one of the special nights they hold throughout the week (Mexican, Italian and Oriental). Service poolside from Lucas was exceptional, always on hand to keep us topped up with water and cocktails, recommending new drinks to try and delivering with a smile. Kevin at the bar was great mixing drinks with knowledge and flavour using high quality spirits. The hotel is clean and wonderfully maintained by the hard working staff, the pool was the perfect temperature and relaxing with beds and towels a plenty. Thank you to all the staff at the Beachfront, we hope to be back soon!! Read less

We had a lovely time at The Fives Beachfront. Jennifer( at Santa Sirena) was a joy everytime we saw her! Ivonne at the pool/beach works her butt off and is a treasure:). Golf cart driver was hilarious(i cant remember his name),he had us cracking up everytime.I know i am forgetting others. Any issues were quickly resolved(sink stopper wouldnt pop up and toilet paper holder fell off wall). Seriously, like 2 minutes after asking for repair. Met many lovely people from all over the world-UK, Ireland, Canada and a handful from the USA. People were mature and friendly- no spring break behavior. Was a wonderful, relaxing trip! Read less

We had a wonderful experience at The Beachfront. The staff were very attentive, especially when celebrating a milestone birthday. They went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous time. The room was superb and the service was excellent from housekeeping, waiting staff and to our ambassadors. We also had the option to use the sister hotel at The Fives which we tasted nearly all the restaurants; the food and service were also good too. All the staff we spoke to at the sister hotel were very helpful and friendly. This was our first time in Mexico and I’m so happy to have selected The Beachfront. I would very much recommend this hotel. We spoke to other guests and they shared too that had a great time (especially those who have been to Mexico before). The only negative we found is out of the hotel’s control, is the amount of seaweed on the beach. With a lot choice from both hotels we didn’t really miss the beach. Read less
