My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Secrets and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is a beautiful hotel and the service was exceptional. We liked that they offered both casual restaurants and semi-formal romantic dinner venues. We want to give a shout out to Guillermo, our waiter at Olio Mediterranean Restaurant and his team captain Louis. His service was beyond expectations. He even arranged for the chef to make a dessert for us on a plate that said Happy Anniversary! It was very thoughtful. Another shout to our waiter at Dragons Asian fusion cuisine, Fernando, who catered to our every need. Regina at the Amstar desk was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Her service was truly exceptional and made us feel in good hands. This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort and it was wonderful to live care free for a week - having every type of food available, free room service, unlimited drinks throughout the resort, jacuzzi, massages available, and access to a full-service gym. We can't wait to go back. This was a totally relaxing and enjoyable experience. Read less

We had a weeklong vacation at the Secrets of the Vine Cancun. We enjoyed everything about it. Perhaps fate rewarded us for not having inflated expectations, but it was just great. The condition and cleanliness of the rooms, the friendly and professional staff, the wonderful room service - all of it. The most surprisingly lucky thing was Market Cafe restaurant. Varied breakfast buffet selections, genuinely smiling and attentive waiters, relaxing attitude. On the very first evening we had a Mexican-style dinner there and it was also a nice surprise. Now, this was not my first time vacationing in Mexico but the dimmer was amazingly delicious and served with great style. I cannot explain why we deserved the surprise on our last evening there other than maybe Someone up above chose us :) When we sat down, the manager told us would be personally prepared by the chef and the menu was a secret. My God, what followed! Both the chef and his whole team gave us absolutely childish sensations of miracle and waiting for unknown. How delicious it was and although it was the familiar Mexican cuisine but it was unlike anything else! The most incredible thing was, all the appetizers, the soups, two main courses and desert were cooked by a very young man and I am not embarrassed to say I kissed his hand out of gratitude. It was a real magic prepared by a true wizard! I can't imagine how such a young man could've learned all the mysteries of the art of cooking! Ithiel, the manager Manuel, the chef Harumi, the hostess Ezequiel, the waiter I will never forget that magical dinner and the sincere hospitality of the people. Thank you! Read less

Every member of staff we encountered was fantastic wanting to help with warmth and always a smile. We had upgraded to the club level and so glad we did. The butlers Gabriel and Manuel were really helpful without being intrusive Lots of bars and restaurants to chose from being in the club level you have access to the 12th floor pool and in our opinion the best restaurant Olio during the day. The breakfasts were amazing as were the drinks and view. However what made this place to special was the staff Esteban the manager and his team Marbella, Willian and the rest. Never had a bad meal or drink. If I was ever in cancun again would 100% stay in this hotel. Read less

This is not a real five star resort. Beach is okay. Staff at the bar look like they expect a tip. Upon arrival you will be stopped to talk to people you do not need to. Rooms facing the old hotel on the right are just okay, you will wake up to cheap smelling fried fish in the morning. The crowd is mostly Americans going for an occasion, not a real five star resort crowd, people who enjoy eating non stop at all inclusive and drink. Food was not good at all, bland, same taste, steak house saved me from starving. Rethink what constitutes five star, this is not one. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating 5 star All Inclusive HYATT serves cheapest brand of wine

Since I can not EDIT my previous review for this resort, I need to submit another review. I posted a picture of the only brand of wine offered in the all-inclusive which was not allowed, as it was copied from a site that sold that brand of wine. However, here is my own picture of the wine, that can be purchased for $6٫55. So disappointing that a 5… Read more
