If you think all Cancún resorts are the same, think again. Moon Palace Nizuc is in a class of its own - think swim-up bars, world-class dining, and next-level luxury, all wrapped up with that easy, toes-in-the-sand vibe you came for. Perfect for families, couples, and everyone in between, this five-star resort knows how to dial up the good times. We’re talking endless pools, a massive stretch of soft white beach, a swoon-worthy spa and restaurants serving up everything from fresh sushi to classic Mexican feasts (and yes, there’s a poolside gourmet burger restaurant for those lunchtime snacks). Oh, and the rooms? They’re spacious with amazingly comfortable big beds, double whirlpool tubs and seriously tropical garden or ocean views. Plus, with unlimited drinks, snacks and 24-hour room service included, you could technically stay in your robe all day. (Not that we’re recommending it. There's too much to do.) And if you feel like cranking things up a notch, you’ve got all the perks of the wider Moon Palace complex on tap too - including golf courses, a water sports marina, Flowrider surf simulator and Noir nightclub where you can dance the night away. Cancun holidays don’t get much bigger, or better, than this.

The pools are ok, the kids got bored of them the first day though. Anywhere nice to sit is members only. The food is mediocre at best, we ate mostly fresh fruit since everything that was prepared was yucky (even for a 9 year old). We did the “90 minute” tour of the grand to get day passes to the water park, it took closer to three hours and they’re all nice until the end they really try and trap you. They’ll have multiple people come talk to you and try and coheres you. We finally escaped with the passes but the kids got bored of the water park after about 30 minutes. Glad we didn’t pay for the day passes! At check out they again will try and coheres you for memberships, which feels icky. We ended up booking our own activities outside of the hotel since it was cheaper and we could pick which company we wanted. The highlight of our trip was cenotes zapote, they picked us up and we had the best day! Read less

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional experience we had during our two-week vacation at the Moon Palace. Our first adventure was a day trip to the Beach Palace, where we received an exceptionally warm welcome from the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, knowing it would be our last before the renovation, and we made the most of every moment. The highlight of our day was a private dinner for six on the rooftop, with breathtaking views of the Cancun area and a stunning sunset. Our wait staff, Felix, Natividad, and Misael, were exceptional, providing us with special drinks and keeping the wine flowing throughout the evening. The chefs, Jonathan, Ricardo, and Diter, prepared a delicious meal, starting with our favorite potato soup appetizer, followed by a wonderful salad and family-style steaks cooked to perfection. Yair Sanchez, the captain, ensured everything was perfect, and Elizabeth Torres helped me set everything up. Our entire trip was truly unforgettable, and we felt pampered throughout our stay, thanks to the outstanding staff. We appreciated the excellent service from Cesar, our Diamond Concierge, and Nizuc, who made the planning process seamless. Our butlers, Jair and Luis, were phenomenal, ensuring every detail was taken care of, while Camilla, our maid, kept our rooms immaculate. We also enjoyed fantastic dinners at The Grand's grill and JC steakhouse at The Grand, where the staff provided top-notch service. Other notable experiences included Gondola at Sunrise and Los Caporalles in Nizuc, where the staff provided great service. Our pool concierges, Eduardo, Alberto, and Daniel, kept us refreshed with towels and drinks all day. Finally, we appreciated the cart drivers, particularly Flo and Carlos, who made our vacation perfect. Read less

Love the golfing, the pools, and the food but it is the Mexican people that we have grown to love. They are truly welcoming and Moon Palace trains their employees to be customer service conscience and the perform to perfection. And we have been going long enough to know it is not phony. We have made friendships that have lasted many years. Returning in September 2025 and can't wait to get there again. Yes we are Members and we love the numerous discounts. Example - We haven't paid for a round of golf in over 15 years. ($320 per round per person to the public) Read less

First off, I need to disclose that this review is a little skewed because I had access to The Grand due to Sunrise being renovated. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Nizuc property. It was quiet (more adult friendly) and our Oceanfront View room was perfect for watching nightly weddings take place. The room was spacious and clean, but there are no elevators at Nizuc properties so just know that in case you don't want to climb the stairs. I would definitely recommend splurging for an Oceanfront room. You won't be disappointed. We were right next to the Coconut Stand so we spent most of our time at the beach on The Grand side. Jose Macario was our beach attendant and he was FABULOUS! I would give him 10 stars!! He brought us various drinks to try and kept us well hydrated with bottled water. We booked massages at The Grand Awe Spa and the hour of hydrotherapy before the massage was amazing, however, the massage itself was lacking. If you want any kind of pressure at all, upgrade to the deep tissue. As for the restaurants, you will need to make your reservations via the app. It's not hard, but don't wait until the last minute. Go ahead and have the app ready and log on the morning of your arrival date (I made reservations before I got on the plane). I would say that the food was "pretty good" at all the restaurants but the service was just "so-so" compared to other all-inclusives I've stayed at. I'm guessing that not a lot of people tip the servers, so they literally are just there to do their job. That said, they are working with high volumes of people and food and are not really interested in your dining experience. Here are my dinner recommendations from best to worst based on food and service: Cavaro, Jade, JC Steakhouse, and Riviera Maya. The Pub at Nizuc is super cool as is The Library at The Grand. The food at Joe's for lunch was not good at all. Just go to the pizza stand outside Caribeno. All in all, my daughter and I had a good time with her friends and their mom's on this getaway. However, I probably would not be able to come back without having Grand access. Jose and the beach are just too compelling. But it would be hard to give up that Nizuc Oceanfront View room. I guess we'll just have to see how the cards fall in the future! Read less
