280 rooms and suites. The BEST hotel I have stayed in the staff are so friendly and helpful they really go above and beyond for you and are so happy and friendly. The service is 10/10. The resort itself is amazing there’s so many restaurants to chose from and cafes/ice cream shops so you will not be stuck for choice! There’s also a list of excursions you can go on which we’ve booked a few of whilst we’re here. I want to clarify the staff are lovely so don’t understand why there’s reviews saying they’re rude as there’s no possibility the only thing I can think of is if you’re incredibly rude to them. The rooms are extremely clean and we have a lovely cleaner who I would like to give a shout out to - Kerryann is an absolute pleasure and she’s always checking in with us to see if we need anything and made us feel really welcome and at home! The only negative for me would be that some restaurants on the Royal side aren’t as good with service for example we visited Chi and ordered our mains then 2 other couples came in and ordered starters and mains and had their food first and had finished theirs whilst we still didnt receive our mains so felt a little forgotten about. The wait carried on so we left and went to the Italian restaurant instead with no issues at all so don’t let that put you off we have also had great service in Soy which I would highly recommend! Personally I think the restaurants are better on sandals side than the Royal but that could be due to staffing and really didn’t impact our stay or opinion of the hotel as we’ve had such a great time. All in all I would definitely recommend sandals to anyone thinking of booking! Read less

Shaquille and Chadric at Lover's Lane were awesome! They helped create a great atmosphere, a blast to converse with, and made sure my favorite beer was on the ready! Johnoy at the Rum Bar was also great! Between the great conversations and the amazing Planter's punch he perfects, he was amazing. Not to mention he made sure I had plenty of his punch for when he had a day off. Lastly, our butler team. My wife and I cannot say enough about how awesome they made our experience at Sandals Barbados. This was our first time with butler service and it definitely will not be our last. Although it may be hard to find a better butler team than Archie, Jabari, and Jeremy. They made sure we had everything we needed to have a relaxing and amazing experience. We had a front row spot every morning with a cooler full of our preferred beverages. Multiple check in's throughout the day to make sure we were good. Very helpful with restaurant reservations and time changes. Great conversations that made us feel like we have known them for a long time. They were excellent and professional. The guests that get the chance to receive the service from Archie, Jabari, and Jeremy are for sure in for a great vacation experience that will leave them full of long lasting memories. We will definitely be back to Sandals Barbados and will absolutely be requesting them as our butler friends!! Thank you again Archie, Jabari, Jeremy, Shaq, Chadric, and Johnoy!! We just returned from a 6 night stay. We had an issue that we tried to resolve the minute we checked in…we needed to extend one day due to airline issues- Despite asking every day, no one had the decency to acknowledge it until the day before our departure. Maybe done intentionally?? Royal rooms are updated as expected with some maintenance needed. We stayed in original Sandals side; Oceanfront Penthouse Room(OPT). It was dated, as expected, clean with a nice view. Wear on inside, Toilet was iffy…A/C great, we had no water for several hours one day. The exterior is mainly a problem on both sides. This resort requires maintenance badly. Sandals boasts 5 star… with that being said pool tiles should not be missing, pool steps should not be chipped and broken, tiles in Chi have fallen off the wall, our building hallways were dirty, paint chunks missing, elevators dirty and never cleaned. When we arrived bird poop was all over the beach rattan furniture and it stayed there the entire week. The beach ~ seaweed, which can’t be stopped, but perhaps more could be done to make the beach more inviting. This resort is worn and tired…..about to fall asleep if maintenance is not done. If they are striving to be a 3 star they are on their way. We have been to this resort 5 times. The last time in 2019 and it was fabulous. This vacation was disappointing on every level. Read less

Not quite the 5-star experience we expected I stayed at Sandals Barbados with a friend in May, and while there were some highlights, the experience didn’t meet 5-star standards. Our bathroom door hinge fell off and we couldn’t use the bathroom for hours, despite reporting it five times. It was only partially resolved after insisting to speak with a manager — who never followed up with us afterward. Room cleanliness was also lacking, with visible dust even after housekeeping. Vegetarian food options were limited, especially for lunch and dinner. Dinner wait times were often over an hour, and on a couple of occasions, we were seated at unclean tables. On the positive side, most staff were friendly and helpful, the gardens were beautiful, and the option to use both resorts was great. Lots of activities and good evening entertainment too. Overall, the resort has potential, but the service and maintenance need serious improvement. Read less
