The hotel

Throwing you into the full Atlantis experience, The Royal is as legendary as the myths that inspired and infuse them. The architecture, the artwork, the adventures — each have a cheeky nod to the Lost City of Atlantis, but the well-dressed rooms and suites are a little less kitsch, coming with French or full balconies and views over the terraces, water, or harbour. Their spot on Atlantis Paradise Island puts you right by Atlantis Casino and at the heart of the world’s largest outdoor ‘marine habitat’ — with 14 lagoons and more than 50000 aquatic residents, from sharks to barracuda. The Royal — central to the myth of Atlantis — Atlantean-themed murals, décor and mosaics abound, it is here that the lost city comes to life! The Royal rooms features French balconies with terrace, harbour or water views. 1083 rooms and 118 suites on 24 floors, all with air-conditioning, flat-screen HDTV, WiFi access, alarm clock, tea/coffee makers, safe, hairdryer, mini-fridge*, iron and ironing board, and bathroom amenities.

Terrace View Rooms offer inland views of the complex and resort, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds sleeping maximum 4 people.

Casual Dining Plan option:includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at one of the following eateries: Breakfast: Murray’s Deli, Plato’s, Poseidon’s Table. Lunch: Aquaventure Quick Bites, Marina Pizzeria, McKenzie’s Conch Shack, Murray’s Deli, Plato’s, Shake Shack, Sip Sip. Dinner: Bimini Road, Marina Pizzeria, McKenzie’s Conch Shack, Silan, Poseidon’s Table, Shake Shack, Sip Sip, Sunset Point.

Imperial Club Rooms are available with terrace, harbour or water views, and are located on the top floor with exclusive check-in at the sun lounge, featuring either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

1 Bedroom Grand Suites feature ocean views, an expansive living/dining room, refrigerated service bar, and master bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

2 Bedroom Grand Suites are the same as above, with the addition of a connecting bedroom with 2 queen-size beds and an extra bathroom, sleeping maximum 8 people.

Our first time at Atlantis and Bahamas. The royal is centrally located. Rooms are recently updated and very nice. Food did the job, but for what you pay... nothing to write home about. The grounds are nice but the hotel is old. The beach was stunning, but lacking seating with umbrellas... nowhere to sit with shade not pleasant when its scorching… Read more
Our first time at Atlantis and Bahamas. The royal is centrally located. Rooms are recently updated and very nice. Food did the job, but for what you pay... nothing to write home about. The grounds are nice but the hotel is old. The beach was stunning, but lacking seating with umbrellas... nowhere to sit with shade not pleasant when its scorching hot. Not stroller friendly at all... very hard to get around when you cannot do stairs. The worst part was the front desk service... we arrived early and check-in was at 4pm. They would not give us a room even a minute earlier than 4. I had a newborn baby screaming and had nowhere quiet to console him or put him for a nap. I cried and begged for an early room and they refused.... that in itself is the reason I would not return. How could you be so heartless and inconsiderate of my situation. Such a busy place that they treat you like cattle or sheep. If we ever come back we would probably stay at Baha Mar which is newer and closer ride from the airport. Read less

One of my favorite places, have been coming 2-3 times a year for the past 12 years. Staff is always friendly and happy to help. Was there in March and May so glad to see new restaurants opening soon. Have been coming 2-3 times a year for the past 12 years.

The staff was friendly, the pool were amazing the room were great and view were also the bed were extremely comfortable, we can’t wait to come back. There were several restaurants to choose from with in the resort, so you won’t go hungry. The casino has a lot of different games

I'll be back in about a month, just found a 350$ casino ticket in my shorts I'll be back in Costa Rica in a month and will tag team another trip to the Bahamas after that trip. It's easy out of Fort Lauderdale so that will be an easy sell for me. Love the Bahamas. And love Costa Rica
