While this resort is still paradise, there have been some changes since our last visit. It is very clean around the resort and in rooms. The landscape crew is incredible. They do a beautiful job and we admired all the foliage around the villas and pools. The pool staff works very hard! They bring you drinks, food, and whatever you want. They need more help! The dirty dishes and glasses would remain for hours without anyone retrieving them. Not a big deal to us, but it was quite noticeable. The menus have changed, but you will not go hungry. The beach/pool lunch menu is very odd. Grilled salmon? Ok, maybe it is just me, but there were truly some odd choices! Again, we didn't go hungry. We were told ahead of time that the steakhouse restaurant also served breakfast. Other guests even commented on this before our visit. That was not the case, so you have one restaurant to dine at for breakfast. If you order room service, it could take very long. Personally, the view from your room is so much prettier for breakfast, so try that! Fun stuff like oysters on the beach one day....makes you feel quite special! Everyone is very friendly. It is a quiet place, but if you want to socialize there are people to socialize with. Ambassadors might also be very overworked. We had 2, but the last few days we saw other random people for room service and such. Not a deal breaker for us, but letting us know would have been helpful. Dinners at the Lighthouse are not to be missed. Everything is delicious, and the service is perfect. You could dine there every night and never have the same experience. Each night is special. The manager is Alex and she is a class act. Don't hesitate to visit here. This is one very special place! Oh, not to forget this : there are hampers in the extremely large bathroom. You no longer have to deal with wet, used towels. Such a small thing, but a great addition! Read less

This is a long overdue review, all I can say is Thank you Hammock Cove and staff for making out vacation a stand out. Everyone we met was friendly and went out of their way to make our vacation great. The rooms are amazing! Large is an understatement. You could throw a party in the bathrooms. And the decks with those amazing pools were wonderful. We enjoyed morning coffees, afternoon floats in the pool, evening drinks and even late night grilled cheeses on our decks. As my sister said, "who knew I needed a plunge pool in my life?". Well now we know that we do. Chef Marco and his staff prepared amazing and delicious meals. If you have a special request, just ask, they will do their best to fulfill it. I could go on and on but I won't. You'll have to go there yourself and experience all that Hammock Cove is. One thing I will say is that there is no nightlife. The bars close at 10:30. You can still enjoy drinks on you deck with your stock bar. Or hang out in the game room upstairs. But if you really want nightlife, all you need to do is let your ambassador know you want to visit one of their sister resorts, The Verandah or Pineapple Beach club for the evening entertainment. They will arrange for passes and a short taxi ride over there. We did that on two nights and had a great time. You could go there for meal too. But why would you? Then you'd miss the delicious meals at Hammock. Thank you to everyone at Hammock Cove for making our vacation truly enjoyable. We will be back. Kathy H Read less

Huge, clean villas, each with a private plunge pool are equipped with anything you could want. Shower is enormous, with excellent water pressure. Spa massages were very relaxing. We ate breakfast and lunch every day at Irina’s and enjoyed sitting on the covered outside patio. Young staff were all so sweet and accommodating, with special mentions to Cheriah, Dahrio and Mark. Menus had a mix of same and new every day, all food was very good. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the 7 course meal at The Lighthouse twice, where Chef Marco puts together a phenomenal menu. On another night, we had the recommended special of branzino, expertly plated by Alex and we both agreed it was one of the most tender fish dishes we’ve ever had. The steakhouse was also excellent as well. Our ambassadors, D and Jahsun were excellent and checked in with us every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone need a luxurious tropical getaway! Read less
