241 rooms offering views over the tropical gardens, spectacular golf course or the bushveld beyond. All with air-conditioning, TV, mini-bar*, hairdryer and views of the gardens or pool. Luxury Rooms with 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Luxury Family Rooms are larger offering ample space for families with 1 queen-size bed and sleeper bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Superior Luxury Rooms offer views of the golf course and the mountains with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Superior Luxury Family Rooms are located on the ground floor with spectacular views, sleeping 2 adults and 2 children with a separate dining area and sleeper sofa.

Superior Luxury Rooms with balcony offer views of the Pilanesberg and overlook the swimming pool and the golf course, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Luxury Suites with lounge area, overlooking the swimming pool with garden views and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults

2 restaurants; Maltos (Greek cuisine), Peninsula (International dishes), Luma Bar and Lounge.

Whilst there isn't any evening entertainment at the hotel you can hop on a shuttle to the Sun City resort where you can visit the casino or nightclub.

Both morning and sunset game drives* available in the neighbouring Pilanesberg National Park. I recently stayed at the Cascades Hotel in Sun City and was left completely disappointed. What was meant to be a relaxing holiday turned into a frustrating experience filled with poor service, miscommunication, and basic failures in guest care. From the start, I had to fight to receive the 20% discount on Mankwe Game Trackers activities—a benefit that was clearly advertised when I booked. I even had to email reservations myself to confirm, as nothing was reflected in my itinerary. Had I not followed up, I would not have received what I paid for. The room was not set up for my child on arrival, the shower leaked, and I had to ask for toilet paper to be replenished—something that should be part of daily housekeeping in any decent hotel. But the worst part came when we tried to leave. My brother- and sister-in-law—who dropped us off at the hotel and were present in the reception area when we confirmed pickup arrangements—were later denied access to collect us. We followed all instructions given by the hotel, including leaving a proof of stay card with them, yet we were left standing for 40 minutes in the rain and hail waiting for a shuttle. It took 55 minutes in total just to get to the main gate. All this could have been avoided with basic communication and flexibility. When I raised this with management, I was given an excuse about only "one designated person" being allowed entry—but no one communicated that rule to us. This is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. For a hotel that markets itself as 5-star, the experience was far from it. I will be advising others to look for alternative accommodation when visiting Sun City. Read less

Not value for money. For the money charged, the hotel experience is not there. No variety of restaurants at the Cascades or activities at the Cascades. Staff very helpful. Rooms are great and well serviced though. No room service available . Restaurants close at 10. Little hotel atmosphere.

Visited Sun City first week in January 2025. Stayed at Cascades, rooms are old and tired. Top shelf of cupboards very dusty and it shows that cleaning is superficial. Bathroom had a smell, shower doors also not cleaned. Would not recommend staying at the Cascades until it has been revamped. Great breakfast though.

The rooms were average not upgraded for 40+ years by the look of it. They provided a hairdryer, which was fixed inside the drawer by the bed; however, there was no mirror anywhere near the hairdryer! very odd! The service was ho-hum. Some days are good, some days not. it was very busy being a public holiday when we arrived. ask for a floor up high as the views are great. We unfortunately had a ground floor room no light no view. I wouldn't recommend it , however, there is not much to choose from. definitely don't stay for more than 2 nights. Read less

I booked a 2 night getaway for my husband’s birthday. We have stayed at every property at Sun City excluding Lefika. Our last stay 2 years ago was at the palace. I had high hopes for Cascades however the stench permeating the hotel is disgusting. I think it is coming from the lake that has not been cleaned for months maybe years. We stayed in room 219 however as you enter floor 1 where the Peninsula restaurant is situated. This is where the buffet breakfast is served. The smell permeates the entire floor 1, 2 and parts of 3. ( I did not walk through the rest of the floors Only one diffuser in sight on floor 1, there are 2 lounge areas which cannot be utilised due to the stench. We booked a family room, a sleeper couch for the kids which caved in during the first night. I complained the next morning only to discover that evening the sleeper couch was shortened somehow and my son did not fit on the couch. Whilst the breakfast was great and the service by the staff was great, I wonder if the General Manager walks through the hotel and enjoys the smell of his hotel. The stench even seeped into our room. I have to mention that the family room is very spacious in comparison to others I have booked in the past. Read less
