The hotel

Housed in a converted early 1900's church, this is definitely a cool and quirky option when it comes to Washington hotels. The Adam Morgans neighbourhood is known for being a 24-hour 'hood' if you like - but as it's developed over the years the restaurants, bars and shops have become seriously cool, so it's perfect for weekend breaks for couples and friends alike. Your rooms is made to feel like a home from home. with bespoke furniture and unique artwork that keeps each room different, and will give you that warm-fuzzy feeling (don't worry - there is aircon for those summer trips!). No Goodbyes is the all day hangout thats on hand to cure those cravings, from coffee to cocktails, and brunch to late night bites. There's even a record player and a huge vinyl collection on hand for you to pick your own soundtrack.

Comfortable hotel but terrible, fraudulent service. The hotel put multiple unauthorized charges on my credit card, refused to speak or explain them to me on the phone, and hung up on me. Am disputing these charges. Beware of giving your card information to them.

The room rate was excellent but the cost of having valet car service was almost equivalent to the room charge given all the taxes and fees. Buyer beware. Room was adequate but warm. We even turned off the HVAC but it was still too warm to sleep with the comforter on. The restaurant area is spacious and inviting, however, the food was disappointing especially given the cost. Lobby was dark and we had a hiccup at check-in which caused a delay. Exercise room was very nice. Read less

AVOID this place! There are far better places in DC to lay one’s head than this. It was the month of May but the weather was grey, cold and damp. No problem. Just adjust the thermostat accordingly. It did absolutely nothing. Asked for extra blankets to stave off the cold. Never arrived. We had three freezing nights. Couldn’t get the water in the… Read more

It did absolutely nothing. Asked for extra blankets to stave off the cold. Never arrived. We had three freezing nights. Couldn’t get the water in the bathroom beyond lukewarm, so hot showers were out of the question. My husband was accosted by hotel security for removing a small bandaid from his foot while he had his morning coffee in the downstairs cafe. They demanded his ID. Since he’d left it in the room, he had to escort them to our hotel room. It was ridiculous and we never received an apology even after asking for one in writing. I repeat, avoid this place. Read less

The new manger here P. Johnson is excellent. I've stayed at the The Line in DC every year for work. Cold water the entire stay. Kept being told it was fixed and it was not. Poor service. Disappointed in response of “we will tell engineering” yet did not get fixed nor reimbursed for our stay. After mentioning it several times, you would think it would be addressed or we would be accommodated. We were not.
