I stay at this hotel regularly on business. Staff are very friendly and attentive. To acknowledge my birthday, Dalma (front desk) and Kenny (kitchen) sent up a bottle of champagne for my to enjoy! What a treat. I look forward to my next visit.

The Lexington is a well placed hoterl within 2 mts walk from Grand Central Station. The lobby is what I expected - a grandiose high ceilings fancy restaurants and bars and seating areas. However, the rooms especially the standard bedrooms and nothing particularly special. Some of them are actually quite old and in need of renovation and it feels like a usual Marriott hotel just in the middle of New York. The basement has an excellent fitness centre with machines catering for all needs of fitness that you might imagine. The bar is relatively small and the drinks very expensive….the breakfast area is in the bar which also makes it relatively small with a very average breakfast for such an expensive hotel. All the Lexington is a fine place to stay but somehow disappointing considering the reputation it holds. Read less

Over $800 to stay for one night and they are refusing to provide me with a copy of my bill. Absolutely horrible service. They won't pick up their phone or respond to emails or anything. Would give this zero stars if I could. I've wasted so much time trying to get in touch with somebody that I would have rather just stayed somewhere else, even if… Read more

The hotel was in the perfect location and spotless throughout. Our room was surprisingly spacious and was thoroughly cleaned daily by friendly and efficient Housekeeping staff - immaculate and pristine bedding. But here’s the negative - Front of House Staff ie Reception and Concierge total lack of customer service. I pride myself in always being friendly and polite in all hotels but to be greeted with disregard, nods and the classic ‘mmmmhhh’ when checking in was disheartening. Also on the last day (after a similar disinterested check out from Reception staff) we asked to store our luggage, we were pointed to ‘the bellboy’ who informed us it was $3 per bag to store the luggage! I enquired ‘even the shopping bags?’ - ‘Yep, $3 cash per bag’. Unfortunately we had to pay $18 for our luggage to be stored until our flight later in the day. To be charged for luggage storage is quite simply ludicrous and has never happened in any other hotel we have stayed at. Read less
