Great location! Amazing front desk staff!! Shout out to Celeste! Only complaint is that the Moet champagne vending machine -only takes tokens which you can only get from the bar. Seems that the tokens should be sold at front desk/gift shop…..

I don’t know where to start. The hotel itself was fine besides the fact that it took the sink and shower 20 minutes to drain. YUCK. The workers there were VERY RUDE, I’m assuming it’s because my friend and I are 23 and 24 so they feel it’s ok to treat us poorly. The workers there were VERY RUDE, I’m assuming it’s because my friend and I are 23 and 24 so they feel it’s ok to treat us poorly. Had a very rude interaction on the phone when I called to inquire about adding a name onto my reservation and was told conflicting information by two different people. Tried to use this “resort fee” they charge you, at the bar one night and was told at 10:30 the bar was closed!!! They said rudely last call was already given which I’m unsure how I was supossed to know that being on the 26th floor. So I got screwed out of that money for the day, because due to extreme dietary restrictions I couldn’t eat the breakfast offered. So the bar was our only was of using the fee. Also took SEVEN calls from the room phone to get though to the main lobby. I’m sorry but for the price I was paying for this place I expected a little nicer service and to not be treated like a random person off the street. And on top of all this, I have sent multiple emails, some dating back to three weeks prior and have received zero response back from anyone. Read less

We are Loyal Marriott owners/member since 2007. Since the merger we feel the quality and value of Marriott 3/4 star hotels has gone down. NYC, is one of those areas I give a little grace to considering its aging hotels and small rooms; however, this time around it was one of our most unfavorable room stays. As stated before, the rooms are small, and with limited bureau/storage space for a family of 3 it makes it much more difficult. We were in a double on the 7th floor and because of the smaller room and limited space it felt like we were living out of our suitcases. Enter the bathroom, and it gets worse.! Cramped quarters for the toilet, sink and shower. Going to the bathroom in a room with poor ventilation, gets even worse when every time you reach to clean you hit the window. The decor and the overall room was weathered and pretty beat down. Bot typical of what I see at Marriott (see pictures). To add to our experience, we found out that our TV would not turn off at night, creating a soft glow of light, that resulted in us having to unplug it 3 out of the 4 rights. After multiple calls to the service desk, which were not answered, and having to go downstairs to inform them, the TV still was not fixed. On the 3rd day I spoke to a manager, which I should have done sooner, and finally it got fixed. The manager was pleasant and wanted to make the situation right. I’ll give her a 5 for friendliness and wanting to make the situation better, however by that time the trip was practically over. Now, I hate to leave on a sour note and it’s only fair to also state the positive. It was nice as a platinum member to receive a buffet breakfast every morning. Nothing fancy, but with the basics of eggs, bacon, potatoes, hot coffee and juices. We were able to find seating, even as busy as the hotel was and appreciated the convenience of having this as an option. Last, location was good. NYC is walkable and depends on where you want to walk from. Being close to grand central station was a plus as it allowed us to explore other neighborhoods. Regardless of the room experience we had a great experience in NYC, and didn’t let an old run down room mess up our stay. You should be exploring the city and not in the room anyway. Tio: if going to the airport ask your bell people downstairs first for ride options. They may be cheaper than uber or lift. Read less

Our stay was fabulous. Nicole greeted us with simlle as we checkd in, and was extremely helpful thorough out stay. Our room was awesome, included a delicious breakfast and we stopped in the bar after a show and the staff was delightful. We travel often, and this is for sure the go to in NYC. Highly recommend!

Great location and good price for Midtown Manhattan. The lobby had a great bar area and comfortable seating. Would definitely stay again. One quibble - there was a radiator in our room that we wished we could have turned off b/c it got a little warm.
