Shout out to Yassin for always being super helpful! Comfy bed and lovely room I got an upgrade for my birthday too, nice bathroom as well! Bluestone coffee served in the lounge which was lovely. Good views of Times Square, as a solo traveller I felt very safe!

We checked in at about 1pm, but rooms were not ready till 4pm. Not a problem. The problem was the cash money they want for 'Resort Fees/Security Deposit' when checking in. I had searched high and low for official confirmation on these costs, but never found a definitive, official answer. Looking on NY forums, there were different prices everywhere! So confusing! The Receptionist was lovely and dealt with our check in really well. We had two rooms booked, for five nights. The hotel wanted €2000 to check in!! Resort Fee and Security deposit - per night was $200 per room. I had budgeted $1000 for both rooms, and thank you to the lovely lady on Reception for going above and beyond to bring the cost down! I have read other reviews on this hotel, with regards to the 'Fees' and the hotel management state they will make the fees 'clearer'. But in my view, they haven't. Tempo... please add a specific/official article in your hotel description regarding fees - it has to be made crystal clear to guests. Apparently, the security deposit is returned - assuming there is no damage to your room. The rest of our stay was great! Room was small/snug ... but perfectly adequate and spotless. Bed was very comfy. The bathrooms are amazing!! Will be remodelling my bathroom on the Tempo design. Cleaning staff are lovely!! We would have loved to have breakfast, or lunch/dinner and drinks at the hotel - but the prices are extorniate, which is a shame... as that alienates guests from using the facilities. Another point I will make, the entrance doors to the hotel are large, heavy wooden doors - difficult to open and you can't see who is on the other side, so people end up walking into each other. I went to watch a jazz band in their bar.. what a treat? All of the Above was powerful. I understand they are regulars on Thursdays!! I am coming back. Everything from Beatles with a twist, to Radiohead, to Tina Turner... the bass, drums and keyboard players were on point. the singer was so powerful!! i got a few drinks and ended up hanging out… Read more

Be careful when you check out, my family got charged USD 200 of Valet Parking... They did not even have a car with them, Tempo did not want to acknowledge this as it was a mistake from them and did not refund the money. Very disappointment experience.

My only criticisms would be an extra mirror needed on the desk in the room, more clothing storage and larger towels. Hairdryer provided was good and fridge was a good size. Tv was a smart tv so was able to use Netflix. We paid extra to ensure we were on a high floor. We ended up on floor 39 so there was minimal noise from Times Square only thing we heard were sirens. Location was perfect, right next to subway and perfect walking distance to 5th avenue, Rockefeller and Central Park. Check out was easy and within 2 days the deposit taken had been released back to my card as agreed. Thanks for a great stay! Read less
