This hotel offers a cozy retreat amid the bustling city. The ambiance is calm, and the staff are genuinely friendly, making you feel at home. Rooms are stylishly decorated, though a tad small. Location is key, with easy access to attractions and dining. Overall, a delightful stay with just a few minor hiccups!

Lina/Eddie were very helpful in providing us with directions to the events we were attending, arranging tickets for shows, and surprising us with a birthday treat when we returned to our room. The location was outstanding- located close to the theater district and very walkable for those who like to explore the city by foot! Our room was clean, bright and the space was used efficiently! I would DEFINITELY stay here again! Read less

The Sanctuary Hotel has a great, friendly staff. The queen room is cozy with an open bathroom layout. Conveniently located half a block from Times Square if you are in town for a broadway show! Even though you’re in the middle of the action, the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

You could not get a better location, about a 20 second walk to Time Square. The rooms are not big, but are adequate, quite good storage. Comfortable clean beds and lovely bathroom, we quite enjoyed our view onto the street. We just used the breakfast for a grab & go coffee & pastry as the breakfast choice in NYC is vast! It is a limited continental selection but adequate for what we wanted. We booked into the Haven Roof Top Bar on our first night, good food & service and nice just to be able to drop the bags & wander up there to relax. I only rated 4 stars not 5 because we did think that some areas of the hotel could benefit from a freshen up & redecoration. Our room felt clean, but some areas are a bit tired. It’s quite an unusual quirky little hotel, but we enjoyed it and would return because of its location and staff. Excellent 5 stars customer service from everyone we encountered, a very warm welcome and obviously value their customers, Thank you for the thoughtful lovely treats you surprised our daughter with for her birthday. Linda B, you did great housekeeping on our room and a big shout out to the friendly, professional reception team, but especially to Vutha & Eddie on the door, always smiling, welcoming and willing to help. You couldn’t have a more convenient location, close to Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Broadway, subway and other attractions within walking distance. It’s standard to take a room deposit in case of breakage or using the mini bar and it goes straight back on your card when you check out. Thank you for a great stay and helping to make our first trip to NYC such a special one, you are a great team. Read less

Staff do not inform you this until you get to hotel, even though I contacted them previously. Room was small and no view and was situated by lift so could hear noise. Breakfast was nothing special and even though I paid for 5 days breakfast, ended up eating out for 3 mornings. When it has come to claiming my money back, I know have to contact bank and hotel do not have anything to do with payment even though they took it out. People rave on about hotel, I will not be staying there again and would not recommend hotel Read less
