Great location is a plus. The rooms are very small but comfortable and a great buffet breakfast is on offer but limited seating. The elevators is a major downfall for the hotel. Did not live up to expectations. room rundown, bed and pillows uncomfortable . There was an elevator out for upgrading caused 20 minute delay . Phone in the room was not connected due to phone system upgrade But no communication about it While waiting for the elevator there was a note that said if you had problems to please use the hall phone for assistance. But on my floor, the phone has been ripped out of the wall. The breakfast buffet was uninviting. I only ate there once because the food was cold when it should’ve been hot and due to the volume of people the buffet and tables were always dirty The staff at the front desk were always pleasant. My mobile key rarely work to let me in the hotel and was inconsistent when trying to get in my room. I switched to key cards to resolve that situation. Read less

The elevators are broken you have to wait 30+ minutes to use one. They don’t disclose any renovation maintenance when you are booking so it comes as a total surprise. Mariott Bongoy should drop this chain immediately. Staff is rude. They talk back to any complaints in the most possible rude way. The only person we truly enjoyed and who was an A+… Read more

I recently stayed at the Element New York Times Square West in December 2024. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. Firstly, this is a hotel with 400+ rooms , approximately 40 floors and only two of the three small elevators were working. One day there was only one elevator working. Each day that we were there it took at least 10 minutes to get to our room from the ground floor. It took at least 20 minutes to get from our room down to the lobby. This was excruciatingly long, especially the day that there was only one elevator working. The room service only came every other day, but we had the option for housekeeping every day. We would sign up for housekeeping on the off day and no one would show up clean our room. Two of the days of our stay the hotel actually ran out of guest towels. The room size left a lot to be desired as I had been in cabins on cruise ships that were bigger than the room that we stayed. One good thing was the hotel served a hot breakfast every morning. Unfortunately, with the elevator issues, however it made it almost impossible to go to the gym for a workout as elevator wait times made this difficult. There are many other good options in New York City. Read less
