There’s more than a ‘nod to nature’ at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge – it’s eco-friendly to its very core, from your room’s organic bedding to the nature-inspired children’s activities, daily Lobby Farmstand, use of reclaimed barn wood, and local artisanal products at the picnic-style restaurant. Style doesn’t suffer for sustainability, with features like corrugated leather headboards, gritty blackened steel, crate-style slatted closets, and a pop-up beer garden all giving the hotel a cool and contemporary edge. And they haven’t sacrificed those urban hotel essentials either, so you get complimentary WiFi, the Bamford Haybarn Spa, and a free shuttle into Manhattan (in a Tesla electric vehicle naturally) – although you could just stroll over nearby Brooklyn Bridge instead. But it’s the social buzz and views that make this place special, with the best enjoyed while sipping handcrafted cocktails on the rooftop pool terrace.

Then there's the room-I was able to secure the same room this year as I had last year...just DIVINE. Pay a few dollars extra for the upper floor you won't regret it! Enjoy!!! Read less
Great place to stay in DUMBO

We've stayed at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge several times and have consistently had a positive experience. We stayed in a suite this last time which had lots of space and great views. The highlight of this visit was the roof pool which is fantastic. This is our go to hotel for our stays in DUMBO.
Gem in Dumbo

Excellent hotel. No complaints. Staff went above and beyond! So welcoming and helpful. Room was spotless and view was unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the city. Breakfast at The Osprey was the highlight of our experience here. Everything so fresh and our waiter Brett was a pleasure. Would definitely recommend this hotel

We stayed here in May of 2024. We really enjoyed our stay. We chose the hotel based on the location and the rooftop pool and deck and not the sustainability aspect. The hotel itself is very cool, modern decor etc. Small Gym was perfect for our needs and the Location in Brooklyn was excellent, we really enjoyed walking over the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan or talking the Ferry which is located just outside. The local area has lots of eateries and was perfect for a potter around if not heading into Manhattan. The front desk staff were excellent and super friendly too. The negatives were few to be fair, the room was tiny, but this is common in NYC, again very cool though and view was awesome. Very very little storage space, we were in NYC for 5 days 4 nights and our room had probably half of one traditional wardrobe for storage so we were living out of our suitcases on the floor. The bathroom area is also very small, the water pressure was poor and the shower has wooden elements which obviously are now pretty water damaged. The location and the rooftop are the selling points for me. The rooftop area is super, especially if the sun is playing ball. You can eat and/or drink up there and then there is a separate pool deck. The pool was again great, small niggles would be that again with NYC it can get busy, you are allocated a 2 hour window if I remember correctly but if its not busy I wouldn't pay any attention to that but there is a host keeping an eye on everything. You are also a bit of a second class citizen on the day of check in and check out, you are only allowed to use the pool deck if no currently registered guests need your spot, otherwise you will be bumped. Last negative was being scolded for trying to take a phot of my wife with my camera on the roof deck, I am the furthest thing from a professional but do have a mirrorless camera for family photos and home videos. I got a strict warning that no "professional" cameras are allowed. I found it strange, I am a tourist! but anyway I assume it is a NYC thing maybe to prevent YouTubers or bloggers, I don't know. You can do anything you like with your phone however which is something. Would we go back, we enjoyed our stay but probably not. There are a lot of hotels in NYC to experience! Read less
