This hotel badly needs some love. It is well used, and it shows. Wallpaper peeling, tile missing, shades ripped and don’t close, the list goes on. Staff was friendly, especially Angie at the front desk on check in. My biggest complaint was that I found a glow stick behind the chair in my room on the floor. Staff was friendly, especially Angie at the front desk on check in. My biggest complaint was that I found a glow stick behind the chair in my room on the floor. Of course, after finding this I wonder if the room is truly clean. When I reported this to the desk they were very apologetic and offered to have the room cleaned that day even though it does not follow their every other day policy, which was great. However, after returning from a day of skiing the housekeeper did not empty the trash in my room. One other suggestion, that does not impact the guest experience but as someone in hotel management it concerned me, there was a gentleman behind the front desk wearing sweatpants and a Green Day t shirt and no name tag. It was apparent he worked there but why doesn’t the staff have uniforms? A lot of the clothing the front desk staff was in was far too informal. All in all, the hotel was okay. It badly needs a renovation and the staff needs some training. Next time I will pay the extra money to stay at one of the Marriott’s. Read less

Though the staff was lovely and helped us, this place is a dump. It is so rundown. Starting with our room: cracked ceiling where there was obviously a previous flood, probably the grossest carpet I’ve ever seen (would not walk barefoot), paint peeling off baseboards, threadbare bedding, dingy pull out couch… it was awful. Then, for the pool area:… Read more

Starting with our room: cracked ceiling where there was obviously a previous flood, probably the grossest carpet I’ve ever seen (would not walk barefoot), paint peeling off baseboards, threadbare bedding, dingy pull out couch… it was awful. Then, for the pool area: be aware that if you have a kid who wants to actually swim and not just go down the slides, you can’t do that! They have a baby wading pool and then the slides but you are not allowed to actually swim in the pool. My six-year-old who is a confident swimmer was too scared to go down the huge slides and just wanted to swim! But that wasn’t allowed. The hot tub was lukewarm. If I were to go back to North Conway, I would absolutely go somewhere else. Read less

I do not recommend staying at the Hampton Inns but rather if you desire to stay with Hilton go to a Home2 Suite as these hotels are new and get the appropriate level of attention. The room in auestion had a room rate of $375, definitely did not get my monies worth. On a positive note the bedding and general room were in great shape. Read less

We had a great stay. We are a family of four: two 40 year olds, an 8 year old and a 5 year old. I give it 4 stars for what it is/what we were expecting - affordable, family friendly and clean. We stayed one night for a trip to Story Land. Loved the free breakfast and wifi. There is a fun pool area with slides that was a big hit for the kids. We went after Story Land on day one and they had a blast and then we got take-out pizza from Flatbreads. In the morning, the kids wanted to go to the pool after breakfast, before we went back to Story Land. The selling point was the room set-up - we got a one bedroom suite at an affordable price. The kids slept on the pull out couch and had their own TV and we could stay up later in our bedroom. There was also a kitchenette and fridge. The staff were very nice. It’s not the Ritz - the room had a few dings and could have been repainted, but it was clean. We heard little kids running around above us in the early AM but it was quiet at night. For a family like us, it was all we needed! Read less
