The hotel

The Rio Las Vegas has been reborn, and it's still just as iconic, with generously-sized rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s array of restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, all-you-can-eat Indian buffets, and the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. And if that's not enough, you've got the newly opened Canteen Food Hall too! With a fully revamped pool area featuring 4 different pools, the recent upgrades to this hotel make it a real game changer when it comes to great value Vegas hotels. Rediscover the enchantment that defines the essence of Rio, amongst the rhythm of Vegas.

Room wasn't very clean. Missed housekeeping service during stay. French fries on floor when we arrived. Numerous light bulbs out. Food was good and many choices. Casino and sportsbook were good. Not sure if we would stay there again. Alot of other choices.

Staff is great, Luckley is a delicious new restaurant. Food court is kinda cool. Casino is turning into a cool place off the strip, not totally there yet. Room could use some updates, and housekeeping doesn't come everyday. But for the price it's good.

The common areas of the hotel and casino are smoky. It is extremely unpleasant. If you have asthma or dislike smoky areas I would not stay here. Even though the hotel is not very far from the strip it is not very walkable. You have to walk along very busy roads, it is dirty and you have to walk by homeless people, We did the walk during the day but took cabs when it got dark. Read less

This hotel is still a work in progress, but it is rising from the ashes like a phoenix. The renovated rooms are large and well furnished. We appreciated that the casino floor was quieter, but I suspect that will change as more people find this hotel serves their needs at a really fair price.

The Rio has rebounded!! Nice staff, nicely redone huge suite style room, nice casino and restaurants. Bravo to those in charge, keep up the good work with the continuing renovations. The live band on stage was good as well. Would definitely stay here again.
