They only have one person for hotel checkin they want you to self check in at a computer terminal. Only one person for check out. The result… long lines in and out. They use a different form of elevator system that seems to be meant for security but it is super simple for anyone to get in since they don’t have a security person watching. Everything about this hotel screams cash cow. The vibe is actually pretty close to nyny for real except thankfully they don’t dupe the smell. Only stay there if the rate is $200 a night. Read less

Rooms are outdated and gross. There are no ice machines on most floors so I called front desk to ask for ice and was told they don't bring ice to the rooms. We went the entire weekend without ice. Drinks are the floor are made with the cheapest alcohol. Just an overall bad experience.

Amazing jacuzzi in the spa suites...great restaurants too! Tom Cassell took incredible care of me and my fellow VIPs, what an experience. My room had a great view as well. The check-in was easy and quick, and the Starbucks in the lobby fueled me up numerous times a day!

The new long bar is great place to play video poker because so many casinos are removing video poker. Not sure why because always see empty slots but difficult to find video poker nachines. The best thing about New York New York is that it is on the strip and very well situated to get to many of the other hotels. Don't be fooled by "just next door" because everything takes longer than expected to arrive at a destination, especially on foot but there are walking bridges that are very useful to cross wide streets. The hotel is definitely geared toward families, especially with the roller coaster and the arcade for kids is pretty good. Half of the card dispensing machines were not functioning so that is something that needs attention. The food choices are just so so if you care about what you eat. We ended up walking to the other hotels for all of our meals except one breakfast. There are 2 Starbucks for decent coffee. The room was adequate but didn't come with a mini bar, which was strange. There was space for one but it was empty. Our ice bucket never got a clean plastic bag after the first night. Plus there was garbage on the hall floor that didn't get picked up until after the 2nd night of our stay. Our room did get nicely cleaned everyday and staff was friendly. January is a slow time of year for Vegas. My son liked the hotel more than I so not sure that I would go out of my way to stay there again next time I go to Vegas but I admit that I am a bit picky. However, it managed to meet our needs well enough and we had a great visit despite my nit piking. Read less
