My family and I stayed here in December 2024 and January 2025. We stayed at the Diamond Tower in December on a high floor and the view was amazing, the room spacious and clean. Unfortunately, it was one of those connecting rooms and the door between us and the other room was right next to the bed, and of course, our neighbors were partying it up late into the night and after a long flight and with a tired kid, I let the front desk know the situation and they were able to find me another room. Also, they had someone come up to give us the new keys and help us move. That was amazing service and empathy, though I’d say there’s something to be done about the layout and the soundproofing of the adjoining room doors. If the doors had better soundproofing (the walls were fine, it was just the gaps from the door) and the beds not placed right next to them, this wouldn’t have been a problem. The next morning I went down to the front desk to thank them, and instead of the kind greetings from the day before, the lady I spoke to had an attitude like I was a nuisance as soon as I walked up. It was weird thanking her for what she probably didn’t have anything to do with, though I hope she passed the appreciation to her colleagues. The stay in January was great as well. We stayed in the Ewa Tower and though we didn’t have a view of Diamond Head, we were higher up in the tower and had an excellent view of the ocean and the moon at night. Also, no adjoining room so no worries of noise. Overall, I think both towers are great and clean. The best things about this place was the awesome views and having the beach right in front of it, even if you have to cross the road, it’s kinda cool that the crosswalk on the Ewa side is like a mini Shibuya Crossing where everyone can walk across from all directions at the same time. Another plus is that they lend you towels and beach chairs so you don’t have to pay for the expensive ones at the beach, and give you a beach bag and two water bottles. We were here to be chill and the vibe was just right. With exception to the one person at the front desk, all the people that worked there made us feel like we were in the right place, regardless of how busy it got around the lobby and pool. Especially housekeeping and the fun guy at the pool that lent us the chairs. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Not worth it. Stay in other hotel than pay expensive room, resort fees and vallet.

The price of the hotel is not worth the experience. The room we got has damaged front door, which looks like someone tried to break in. The door also has a big gap on the bottom so be extra careful and bring extra precautions lock. The bathroom also was damage and toilet bowl seat have scratches. The customer service was truly EXCEPTIONAL! They were responsive on any need and/or question, through, nice, and efficient. The location is Awesome as well. We were near so many shopping, food, beach, and more options. I will say that parking can be challenging if you didn't select "valet" parking.

The best location in the area. Very easy to get to beach from the hotel. Spacious hotel lobby and interior and great gym and other facilities. My recommendation is to get an ocean view room. Many dining and entertaining options close by. Highly recommend.

this was my 4th stay at the hyatt regency waikiki. this last stay even being a world of hyatt explorist member it did not feel the same. we stayed at the sheraton waikiki for a couple of nights first (we wanted to try out a different hotel) then moving to hyatt regency, we checked in in person and they gave us temporary cards to access the club lounge, i am using a club access award for this stay. and was told I was upgraded to an oceanfront and will receive a text when the room was ready. It was maybe around 330pm and went in line again at the front desk, everyone was busy but I was the only one on the World of Hyatt member line, but I was not called at the front desk (there was probably 4 or 5 of them checking people in) for another 30min.Our room is ready. no text that it was though, i wouldve loved to be checked in earlier. our floor was oceanfront but there was a foul smell from the toilet and the balcony doors were loud (leaking air). we called and matter was quickly resolved. we had club access but every morning there was a line to get coffee, only one of the coffee machines was working, i found this out day1. the worse was on check out. as an explorist member i am entitled to 2pm late checkout. We requested an 1130 checkout, at first they told my husband they could not grant this because the property was busy, then when they double checked that I am an Explorist they granted it. We went to go eat outside the property and do some last minute shopping. We were back at the hotel 1030-11 and we found out our room keys were deactivated. good thing someone was at the elevator with us and the housekeeper was there. we called the front desk and they said it was noted that we had late checkout and that our keys should work. we were headed to the airport so we did not use our card again until trying to get out the parking garage. Deactivating our cards caused delays on us getting back into our room to get our luggage and getting out of the parking garage. good thing we gave it enough time so we did not miss our flight.
